I think the majority of Spurs fans hope Tim Sherwood isn't our manager next season, and some want Louis Van Gaal to replace him. But I can't disagree with him wanting the final say on new signings. The last two times we've appointed a Director of Football, it's coincided with a shambolic season (Damien Camolli and 2008/09 season, Franco Baldini and this season) - when Harry Redknapp was manager, he had he final say on new signings and we finished 4th, 5th and 4th in his last 3 seasons as manager. If we're going to make progress next season, Tim Sherwood and Franco Baldini cannot stay in their current jobs IMO.

I agree with what you are saying but do you not agree that until payers and putting that level of effort in we can not only blame the manager. if they were putting this much effort in it would be easy for us to say Tim is not our man, they players are trying their best but he just isn't setting it up right.
----
To some extent I agree, however if the manager isn't setting the team up to be able to perform at 100% should they really take the blame?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
To be fair their is blame to be had both sides. IMO we have a manager who has taken over a unbalanced squad, we have not seen how he can perform with a squad that is balanced. It is a big question do we as a club get a new manager and balance the squad or give tim some time and balance the squad, If im honest im a bit on the fence on this one.On the one hand i want managers to be given a chance to succeed, on the other i what some silver ware.changing managers hasn't worked for us for the last decade.

In fact, I'd say him playing Harry "Wayne" Kane had typified Tim's management style so far - give it a go regardless of whether it will work.
If it works - masterplan.
If it doesn't - they didn't try hard enough
It's as if he's got nothing to lose. Well I guess we haven't now, might as well take seventh place and start afresh next season.

I've made it clear I have no dislike for Tim, and hope he does well.. However I haven't seen anything to make me believe this will happen.
I can't pretend I think he's great at his job when everything seems to point to the opposite being true.

I've also credited him with playing Bentaleb and Ade despite the fact I don't agree with it necessarily.

you could say the same about Bentaleb, it looks like Tim may have unearthed a gem.

I can and did when he started him instead of Capoue against City, and predictably the game passed him by.
Bentaleb coming through is great, but not at the expense of results. I'm sure he wouldn't want that either.

To confirm we have almost a commitee like transfer policy several people are consulted within the club. Sherwood is one of the people consulted.
Avb was not consulted as he had not much interest he was only interested in the training ground aspect.
Baldini is a negotiator he does the deed with clubs and levy or collecott finish the deal. He was also bought in for his scouting connextions however there is a huge question mark about his conflict of interests in a certain eric lamela.

His choice or not that was a terrible decision imo.

I dont see this fixation of getting in a foreign coach who has never managed in the prem, havnt we tried this already?

As against getting an englishman who has never managed at all

Ace I would say sherwood is good tactically, since becoming manager he has had to tinker with the squad due to injuries and the fact he didnt know what is best team was.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Now let me get this right you think Sherwood is good tactically?
Are you totally blind? Did you watch us go 2-0 down today? Do you actually know what playing a high line means and what it involves? Have you ever actually watched a football match in your life and understood it.
Maybe I should keep my questions more basic, do you know what a throw in is?
Tniker with the squad? Playing Walker midfield is tinkering? Its more like open heart sugery in my eyes.
He did not know what his best team was? Oh right he is that much a club man and that passionate about THFC he did not know what team he would pick if he was manager?
FFS there is not a supporter on here who does not know what team they would pick given the chance to pick one but good old TS works there everyday, sees the players everyday, is in your eyes a 100% Spurs man and a tactical god but he does not know with all that what his best team is?
Jesus maybe I should be asking him if he knows what a throw in is as you and him seem to have a similar knowledge of football
