MOTM : Mertesacker - marshalled the defence excellently and put his body on the line to thwart numerous Southend attacks

Feedback: 2 very interesting line ups here. Southend will want to forget this game as quickly as possible with their midfield having a nightmare and keeper Adrian was the fault of both goals. He fumbled a Cabaye free kick and missed a cross allowing Lallana an easy pass to Abdulrahman for a tap in. Salisbury who went for an experimental line up were anything but good but a tight defensive effort done the trick until the big guns were introduced on 65mins giving them a bit more threat and shape. These substitutions (Schneiderlin, Pogba and Ronaldo) on 65mins were the turning point of this game.

Aberdeen 2 vs 2 Leeds

MOTM : Konoplyanka - always looking the ball and always looked dangerous. Adds something to the Leeds team and played the perfect wide man game.
Aberdeen : Mangala, Patricio, Hamsik
Leeds : Allen

Feedback: 2 good teams and I suppose a draw was a fair result. Both teams like to use the flanks and that showed. To an extent they cancelled each other out but Mascherano and Allen had their work cut out to stifle Aberdeen's talent. They managed that well with Mascherano playing a pivotal role. Fan will be raging though that 2 relatively straightforward counter attacks from Leeds resulted in 2 goals. Maybe a bit lacklustre from the whole team but Leeds were very good value for the point.

MOTM : Arteta - controlled the midfield and created no end of attacks with a wonderful passing and distribution display.

Feedback: A bad day at the office for Stockport. Desperately missed a decent keeper and to be honest they looked vulnerable the whole game. Tenby's midfield won the battle today with Fernandinho a bundle of energy closing everything down and Arteta pulling the strings. The Veratti/Kovacic combination lacked experience and Tenby put them under severe pressure. A nice Tenby team this. I like it.
