So, if Levy pulls this off, have we made the biggest stride forward possible at this moment?
after watching the video on the BBC site, I am thoroughly convinced he is the man for us, his record speaks for itself, in the interview, he speaks clearly and passionately, and I cannot wait for him to pull on a Spurs shirt.
Adebayor could be the difference that gets us that 4th spot.

TKoT :
We can deal with Citeh without Adebayor.
All that Sugga Daddy FC, and they still need a 2m Peter own goal to beat us at their own yard.
Keeping the top 4 close together is good enough for us.
PL winners at some point have to beat some of the top 4 home and away. If Citeh want to be the best, they have to beat the best. Nothing of the past 2 seasons suggest they will get results against Man Utd, Chelsky, Arsenal (even Liverpool) away (unless you count scoring no goals and clinging on for grim death - draw or lose - a result) .

The RDBD,
I'm fairly sure (but my memory is awful) that Blackburn won the league without beating either the 2nd or 3rd place team, but that was some time ago.
Adebayor would be a great signing, but if it's the points he gains for Spurs (from top four teams) that enable/help City to the title it will leave a sour taste in my mouth for one.

You must have extra-normal taste buds, if the taste of that can be detected over the 100ms spent on players + 100ks/week spent on wages at Citeh in the last 2 yrs.
Adebayor to put us in 4th at the expense of Citeh is the nemesis you desire.

If City win the league, it will have nothing to do with Adebayor scoring against Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea or Man Utd. And if he does score against those teams, and we get at least 4th, then what more could you seriously wish for?
And to repeat another point, we can beat City without him.
All we need this season is a more consistent keeper and defence.
Oh, and it'd be nice if Defoe turns up this season.

How many goals do you think one man is capable of scoring against Man Utd, Arsenal & Chelsea in one loan spell season for Christ sake?

Its the points that we take from the bottom teams that will make the difference.
Anything better than 6 pts out of 24 vs Wigan, West Ham (QPR) WBA, Blackpool (Swansea) will make a massive improvement to our points total. We should expect at least 16 points (home win and away draw)and if we had done so last season we would have been second. Many teams can point to points dropped but few can point to dropping them against such lowly opposition.

It’s really just my dislike for loans in general and loans within leagues in particular coming out.
If loans were banned (with the exception of those under 21 at the start of a given season) clubs would have to operate with smaller squads, the “big teams” would not make so many signings and this would reduce the cost and wages of players, this is a good thing. A second effect would be a trickledown effect with better players all the way down from the “big four” to the bottom of the Conference increasing completion and entertainment, another good thing.
I could go on about why a hate loans and the pluses in stopping them but that is a whole different article .
It’s one of my football bugbears.

T K o T,
Your trickledown effect does make sense, even if i'm not sure "trickledown" is actually a proper word.
A bit like bouncebackability.

When you use the urinal in the ground after a few pints and have to rush because you realise the players are running out........
....... that is when you get the trickledown effect.
