Koscielny out with calf problem

Wenger unsure of how long.

Fúck. Fúck. Fúck. Not saying Vermaelen won't do a good job, I have every bit of faith in him, but he's no Koscielny.

Some will be quick to place this as another reason justifying our season petering out but I see it as an effect rather than a cause - injuries aren't an external factor like administration giving us a points deduction or snow postponing the game, we have a much greater control over this than people think. Over exerting our players doesn't help, having only three centre backs is a cause of this, and that's not good, we all said it could be a problem at the start of the season and we're lucky that Mert and Kosc have stayed relatively trouble free.

Down to the bare bones now, though, bones that we should have far more of.

"Let's get behind the team.
They need our support more than anytime before."

Why do people think airing grievances on anonymous message boards is akin to "not supporting the team?" Do they read these boards before and after every game? Can they hear us bemoan their lack of balls way out here on the world wide web? I'm miffed as to what people think writing positive anonymous messages will do for these professionals? Weird.

To support, means still attending the games, still chanting for them, and it is even more stupid to keep saying we don't want this we don't want that.
The team needs positivity, us fans need positivity. Keep banging the manager and players won't do us any good. Voice has already spoken, do we need to criticize and being negative every single day?

Ox and Gibbs will both be available tomorrow.

Gibbs will probably be injured after tomorrow's game

You all put too much emphasis on injuries and how your club has more then another. It's simply not true you were almost exactly like for like results wise with last season when you were leading the league when the games got tougher you started dropping points just like you did last season. Injures have a part to play but you can't blame then for all your woes. Injuries didnt set you up to get hammrred by us city and chelsea. Injuries didnt refuse to buy players in jan when you clearly needed them. Also you've had a settled centre back and keeper partnership al season thats been helpful.

Maybe you're simply the 4th best team in england and thats that.

The fact that we have trouble beating UTD, Chelsea and City means that you have a good point!

Yeah but how is any of that effected by what's said on an anonymous posting service? I still don't get how one thing effects another and how telling us to be positive on the net translates to how [those of us that attend] we'd support the team when attending a game.

Your grievances make not one iota of sense to me at all, I'm sorry.

You don't need to say sorry, just sorry to yourself. The world will be much better to have less negative people like you.

Herbie,
I agree that airing ones concerns positively can be of benefit to a team. However, you are using logic and, unfortunately, logic always seems to lose when confronted by emotion. Thus, nothing gets fixed.
