"They've spent £9million net in 10 years and maintained the level of consistency of getting in the Champions League.
They've built a football stadium, they're paying off their debt and they're nearly there. If they move up now it will look like one of the most magnificent managerial performances when you look back in history.
Half the Arsenal fans are annoyed because they think they should be doing more and should be doing better, but of all the madness and debt that surrounds football, what they have done is absolutely the right thing.
What they now need to do, having nearly paid off their debt, is they need to go now. I think he knows, Arsene Wenger, that moment is now."
Who knew a United fan could speak so much sense?

Meh, in the last 9 years Arsenal season ticket holders spent over 20 grand in each on attending Arsenal football matches..what about that?
In the mean time Arsenal share holders made millions in the same time selling their shares, for example Lady Nina..

goonertic and others, do you really believe that Wenger just didn't try to sign a striker in those windows?
Do you put it ALL down to character flaws?

If he tried and failed, I want to know why he failed
That's a fair question
Newcastle got Remy, Monaco got Berbatov

For sure, Arsene is a shrewd businessman.
He is happy to spend £40 odd million on Ozil because the player will prove his worth.
And all the fans here moaning about striker in january window, he will not buy just to please fans. .there was nothing good available..at Chelsea we have same problem.
Wenger also tried to buy Daxler desperately so all you fans just shut up blaming wenger because he didnt buyyyou a striker.
He could have bought a striker but it could have turned into 5-6 goals striker sitting on your wage bill.

Wenger has done so many things right even during our trophy drought and personally the lack of shiny things has never and still doesn't bother me.
On the flip side he's done a lot of things wrong and arguably the wrongs probably for the first time are starting to outweigh the rights.
Time for Arsene to either step up or move on as (unlike in the past) we really have no excuse not to be competing with the best.

and also there were loads of time where wenger could have spent money and won things but he chose not to. therefore that was bad management.
Hippo strikes again with half truths. There wasnt money available in all these years.
