Seemingly a man a few words, ice cool Jan has given a little bit of insight into what was going on behind the scenes, and drops the biggest hint yet that not everyone at the club thinks sacking AVB was the right way to go.
"We were unlucky against Liverpool. At the time I think we had 10 injuries and to some important players as well.
"Sometimes the manager can be unlucky. Of course he had the Adebayor thing and some difficult business to take care of.
"Everybody believed in Andre until the last moment and sometimes you have to change something to come back on track.
"Andre gave us the freedom but some little things can affect the team. Of course Adebayor is back now, he has been unbelievable for us.
"Just one player coming in can affect the team. We always wanted to fight - for Andre, for Tim, it doesn't matter."
Interesting that he refers to AVB being unlucky with injuries, and his issue with Ade.. "some little thing"? or maybe he's talking about the constant negative press surrounding the club this season?
With Sherwood bringing Adebayor back we're pulling as a team now, and all the negative stories have dried up, which is nice

No Edin, what I'm saying is that what goes on behind the scenes is hidden from us and we don't know what we are talking about. But what we see on the pitch makes more sense to comment on because of first rate experience. We can see who plays well or badly so we are in a better position to judge.

Is why interviews like this are so interesting

Totally disagree you never get the truth off players or managers when they are interviewed, all their answers have selfish reasons behind them.

Grandspurs
Obviously everyone has a bias and this is just one point of view but it it's interesting to me.
It's also interesting how many people jumped on an earlier interview when Jan mentioned wanting to play in the CL and yet this one is largely ignored.

I dont believe a word of any interview personally, players and managers constantly say what people want to hear then do something totally different
