Despite our alleged 'profligacy' in front of goal, I hope the lads have been practicing this routine for Saturday. It's brilliant!

Get a mardy ref and he would book all 11 players for time wasting!
On another goals matter- there actually is such a thing as the dubious goals panel, I had never heard of it. They don't meet that often. Hopefully they will give Kasper the goal, it seems to have universally beem credited to Wood at the moment. I just had a look through my old Buffs to see if I had a copy with Shilton's goal at the Dell, sadly I just missed it, it was Oct 67 and my Buffs start in Dec 67.

I remember delivering the "Buff" that Saturday evening as I was a paper boy then - unfortunately I didn't keep a copy

Remember watching that one on a fuzzy old black and white TV – might have MOTD or possibly local news.
It was a very windy day and the ball just carried and carried, then bounced right over their keeper and in. Quite a hoof, even with the wind behind, for days when keepers kicks didn't always make the halfway line.
As for the Buff... (utters wistful sigh) always unbiased and objective match reporting, but who cared. Odd to find reading a report of a match you'd just seen, so exciting.

You'll have to scroll a long way down to the Southern listings for October 1967. In addition, there's also highlights of an unbelievable performance from Peter Shilton at Spurs two months later on the Star Soccer showings gathering dust somewhere.
