Backfire

According to the reports, the plane stunt has spectaculary backfired;

"The now-infamous plane banner - emblazoned with 'Wrong One Moyes Out' - whirs overhead. It is met by a chorus of boos from the majority inside the ground"

"It was not particularly well received by the crowd inside the stadium"

"half of the ground didn't see it and the rest didn't pay very much attention to it."

"One David Moyes" being sung around the ground"

As fickle as football fans can be and as much as I'm enjoying seeing the United fans suffer, it's good to see they have banded together in support of their team, manager and the game in general.

I was going to make a point that with the fans showing him support today, a good win may relive some of the pressure and get some fans back on his side but low and behold as I type this Villa have just went 1-0 up.

The poor guy.

From the bbc:

Gary in Manchester: I'm sat in the south stand at Old Trafford and the only pro Moyes chants I've heard are coming from the Villa fans.

They said that the plane was most visible to the Stretty and a out two thirds of them boo'd the plane. I think it was Danny Mills that said it, but it might have been the other chap.

No idea why you are going on about Owen.

Calm down I only mentioned him because he's been sucking off United at every opportunity despite the fact they've been gifted this

I don't listen to the BT sport commentary if I can help it. It is terrible.

At least we can all agree on the fact that Owen is the most annoying pundit in the history of broadcasting.

Despite the rhetoric and pro Moyes media agenda. Considering there are 74000 people at OT. Moyes stunt actually added context and proved a lot. It will be spun! by himself and the media in his favour but reality is

Moyes came out alone = Small number of cheers and some whistles, most remained SILENT! Hardly raptuous support for Moyes is it?

Plane flew over = a small amount of boos, most stayed silent. Hardly rapturous opposition to Moyes out, more just not wanting to get chucked out the stadium or thinking wrong way to go about things.

Keep wondering where this myth that there were a lot of boos. There weren't and the Moyes chant was sung by the villa fans.

My dad says a few Utd fans joined in the Moyes chant but it petered out almost immediately.
