Our home form is what has stopped us from winning the league imo.
Chelsea 0-0, United 0-0, Everton 1-1, City 1-1, Swansea 2-2, Villa 1-3.
You have to win the majority of your home games to win the league. 5 draws in 16 games isn't championship winning form.
Those rates at the end are the percentage of home points taken. We are nearly 20% below the top 3, which converts to around 9 points. Those 9 points would see us win the league.
I'm not going to blame the manager/players/fans for this trend. I am just highlighting that there IS a problem and it SHOULD be fixable. We can challenge next season if we can turn our home into a fortress. It's a miracle we are even still in with a very small chance in April.
Btw, if you look at the figures it is obvious that our defence is pretty good and our offence is absolutely dire.
But anyway,
COYG
Home form is killing us yet again

Do you ever get tired of being negative?

That table isn't opinion, it is FACT. Go look it up yourself if you want to personally verify it.

we're making a critical assessment as to why we can't win the league, if that is too much for some gooners take a hike
not being negative, but making an assessment so we can see where to improve.
Nothing wrong in seeing defence good attack not good.
our GD is 19 look at our rivals!

Conceding 17 in the big games suggests....
We are not very good in the big games.

Yes i did these calculations too a few days ago. Our away record is actually right up there (surprisingly united have the best!) But at home we have drawn too many. Basically Everton Chelsea United and Swansea and citiy this result have cost us.
So apart from the swansea, low morale fluke goal anomaly,, the reason we havent won the title is due to the lack of big game match winner type player. These guys are who decide games when both teams are at a very high level. Theo and Ramsey are ours without them the onus was on Giroud imo to step up but he has failed for the 2nd season in a row. Not just in scoring goals but also failing to be a big target man who can asisst our attacking midfielders.

I assume you are implying that I don't love Arsenal then, otherwise your statement would be pointless in this thread.
Isn't it just possible that my personality dictates that I like to analyse situations at more than just a base level and that when I see things that I believe are letting our club down as a whole (everyone associated with ArsenalFC) that I am rightfully disappointed - especially for the other people around the globe that feel the same passion for the Gunners as I do (that would appear to include you)?
Longest question ever, but my point is that just because I can be negative doesn't mean I don't love this football club as much as these fans who live, humming to Wenger's merry tune with their heads stuck in the sand.

Dropping points at home as well as not doing well in the big games doesn't have to be exclusive events.
Both are reflection on lack of goal scoring threat and a lack of pace. We have been unable to crush teams at home as we used to in the past. And that always allows a mistake to give an undeserved result. Similarly we don't have the attackers to play counter attack in away games. We have tried to dominate those top teams and in away games you just cannot do that. We just don't have the ability to counter attack or score freely.
