Morning all. Trotter Fan In Peace
I'm in need of a Leeds Fan or better yet a few of your fans' help if possible for an article I'm planning out for 2nd May. Some of you may have read my earlier Memory Lane article. If not it's here, please have a look before replying to this thread.

I'm finding the whole Cellino takeover business baffling, from an outsider's point of view it looks as if both he and GFH have some tough questions to answer and the very idea of Ken Bates lurking anywhere in the background sends a chill up the spine of any football fan with more than three brain-cells that work. One thing does seem very clear; that the rumbles of Peter Ridsdale's gamble and then being relegated from the Prem are still going on at Elland Road which imo is a real shame because fans deserve better and this mess only helps to prevent Leeds United from progressing the way the size of your fanbase alone says it should.
Anyway, the article I'm going to write will act as a sort of "What Happened Next" for BOTH our clubs because we're not exactly in fabulous financial shape either and ask the question of how the unbelievably huge chasm between the top flight and all other football in England can be allowed to grow and what if anything can be done to properly redress the imbalance.
The help I'm asking for is this, what do YOU as Leeds United Fans think should happen with your club next and will Cellino (assuming his appeal is successful) take you forward? If his appeal is NOT successful what will that mean to Leeds United? Is your survival in genuine danger without him?

Hi mate
Read what you had written a while ago, I enjoyed it.
First and foremost, what the club needs is stability, because it's on the edge of some even more serious problems. For any club trying to get back to the top division needs debt plugging and someone with enough money to build a good enough squad. Out club is expensive to run in this division because we don't own anything, the stadium cripples the finances and has done for years, with the high rent.
If Cellino gets it, we might just have a chance next season.
Don't really know much more than that. We've been fed bull again this season by worse owners than Bates.
(That's hard to comprehend).

I think the whole thing stinks no matter who take control they will want something out of it at anyone else's expense.....so the only loser will be Leeds...the problem as I see it is there are too many people with a vested interest in Leeds going into admin..they get the club for nothing and the fans as usual get nothing 3 tier football could in the very near future...mot

Best bet peterpiper is to look through our posts of say, the last 2 months, since Cellino made a bid.
I think you'll find everything you need, from both sides of fans who are / were against Cellino and those always for.
Most on here are fairly honest with their views and opinions and express their feelings as they, as individuals feel'em, just avoid the abusive bits from some.
If you need clarification to use any info just ask the poster or commenter.
Good luck with the article.
