In troubled times

It was great to see Hearts at the weekend perform in front of their fans beating Hibs in what looks likely to be the last Edinburgh derby for some time. And now they are under liquidation threat http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/26833405 - they're in an even bigger mess that Leeds yet still manage to perform to a certain level on the pitch without the usual excuses we have had from McDermott every week. I really expect Leeds to perform better on the pitch despite the off the field trouble. Am I being unreasonable?

Having said that Hearts have only collected 24 points this season so they haven't been performing very well Although the youngsters have mostly been used. I don't know. It was just refreshing to see that spirit on the pitch despite the doom and gloom.

Leeds players don't have any sprit its quite sad..if we ended up in a battle to stay up..."I don't think we will only because there are teams in the league worse than us" we'd go down...time the so called professional players paid the fans back for there loyalty

Always makes me laugh when a team starts to struggle.

Everyone blames the players attitude blah blah blah

No it's we don't have many players with ability, can't fault the effort what so ever

great news Austin could be out with an injury tonight

I'm sure the Hearts players don't have any more ability than the Leeds ones, possibly less. And I know the standard of SPL is mostly dire so maybe it's easier to get a result. What I don't agree with is this wall of negativity that is wrapped around every single game and apparently excuses the results. If McDermott came out fighting more about the football the team might pick up on that.

Child

So your blaming the manager not the players ???

If so, I totally agree

I am. I am blaming him for not doing enough to shy away from off the field matters and therefore failing to get the best out of the players. Just gets excuses in, sometimes pre-match and that's just not good enough. The fact that Warnock was better is frigthening. At least we didn't get thrashed as much. And when things go bad he'll turn to Warnock foot soldiers like Tonge who is now our saviour. Not saying he's a bad player but.... For a footballing scout his signings have been so so disappointing.
