Barca should consider themselves lucky.
So Barcelona have been effectively 'banned' from being able to sign players over the next 2 transfer-windows, which means they won't be able to sign any new players next season.
In reality Barca are let off lightly as UEFA havedrawn a discreet veil over the smoke & mirrors and downright illegal behaviour thatwas in effect in bringing Brazilian superstar Neymar to Catalonia over the summer.
I know this (punishment) is nothing to do with the Neymar deal, but what should be the punishment for what they've been found guilty of (what's a bit of fraud & mass tax-evasion between friends?) is stated in the rulebook as follows;
A points deduction of 23 domestic league points
Expulsion from ANY UEFA affiliated tournaments for (at least) 3 seasons.
Subsequent financial penalties for breaking the rules
And that's without taking into account the punishment(s) from the Spanish Courts and the taxman.
Barca are lucky they're lodged firmly up Platini's fudge-tunnel and revered within the marbled halls of UEFA's ivory towers.

Bullet-proof Barca?

If anything I'd imagine they'd be investigating the Neymar affair separately. They might end up being banned to eternity.

The right thing to do would be to throw them out of the CL and reinstate City.

Barca were always going to escape with a slap on the wrists. I guarantee you they will challenge the 12 month ban and win.
Blatter wouldn't want Messi missing out on CL football and will be bending over backwards to avoid that
Foking hate Barca
