Don't agree Tu Meke, just saw that a moment ago and I think Cavani tries to make the most of the contact as the ball's sailing beyond him. It is the kind of peno you wouldn't be surprised to see a home side get though, esp. when they away side's equalised from the spot. Think the ref did well tbh.

I thought I saw that, but questioned myself when my mate and also the commentators made no mention of it.

It wasn't exactly much, but regardless, you still shouldn't raise your hands like that. I'd say he was quite lucky considering the ref was looking straight at it.

Some players might have made a meal of that (which would have been lame), and you never know, Luiz may have if it hadn't been a good friend of his.

But... I'd like to think he wouldn't have regardless of who it was!

Never a pen for Cavani, both players caught wrong footed and the Uruguayan simply used Cahill's presence and standing leg to back up on. There was no challenge to penalise as the contact had absolutely no impact on Cavani staying on his feet. Opportunistic.
