......please.
This forum, as well as many others I'm sure, have true Leeds United fans discussing all that is...Leeds United. It seems far too often lately, that all we talk about are topics we no nothing about, and can only speculate on. Namely, the owners.
I think the ownership saga has been incredibly magnified by the on field shortcomings. I feel that we wouldn't be as consumed by it if our team was, how can I put it, a bit better.
As fans, we have certainly had quite the ride. But, through all of the bad times, I don't remember a period such as this where the team has capitulated so badly, so many times. Even in our relegation years I don't remember the team getting pasted so badly. Of course, to get relegated you need to lose a lot of games, but you could usually say we were somewhat competitive. Back in the 80's when we were a fixture in the old 2nd division and I could go to Elland Rd regularly, I don't ever remember thinking we could get tonked.....it seems to be something that goes through many a mind quite regularly on this board lately.
We again can only speculate on how the ownership saga is affecting the management and playing staff (McDermott tells us it is).....but surely we deserve better? 3-7....0-5....1-5....6-0.....4-1....2-4.....really??
Whoever the new owners will be, they need to be open with the fans.... The fans need clarity on their direction, aim and long term planning. Then at least we don't have to guess as to whether we should expect to keep any good players, or sign anyone with any credibility, or be pushing for promotion in the next millennium.
I think we have fans that are ready to be engaged, and ready to support a team of management and players that show us, on and off the field, that they are there to work hard for their salaries and have pride in representing our club. That's all we ask....well, it would be a good start hey?
Let the good times begin......soon would be good.
How about some truth and clarity......

infiniteone,
When we get a decent manager and many decent players along with Cellino as owner then I'm more than happy to be support them, till then, I'll still be a Leeds United supporter.

We've got a decent manager, we've got a load off zit in the background!..
Before anyone comes back with the tripe we're always throwing at each other, tell me, why was Varney so happy to shout he was happy to get away from the "turmoil" at Leeds United?..
I wonder how many others would be happy!..
I'd think most on here wouldn't be a;sed if they weren't getting the money that their contract says they're entitled too, so why should they be?..
These same players have played better in the past, but people that think things around the club shouldn't be affecting them should take a look at the real world and ask the normal workingmen that have been put on short time and had earnings cut how its affecting them!..
Players earn good money true, but feel the same as you or me if they have that money cut but are expected to give 100%, would you's give a 100%?..
Oh, and the manager is the bod that takes the rap time and time again, even when its not him holding the money back!..
Remember he came in, stopped the threat off going down, changed things around the players and club that made for a happier environment and put a bit off a spring back in the team!..
So, what happened to that then, nothing to do with the tumoil in the background that is where the club is meant to be working from eh?..
Oh sorry, not meant to be working from!..
Is working from!..
We could have anyone as manager, it wouldn't change anything until the backroom sorts itselfe out!..

I think its about time BM and the players took a good look at themselves and stopped blaming the protracted TO

No disparagement intended but has anyone on this forum ever worked at a company that has been in turmoil where they weren't sure quite what was happening with it and their livelihood might be jeopardized.
The staff obviously knew things were underfoot before we fans did.

"have we got a new manager in already Germany?"
Luvr, not that you know off eh?..
But if we had, tell me, would he do any better?..
I don't think so!..
So, the players that he'd have to work with, would he find it any easier to work with them?..
I don't think so!..
Like you've made clear time and time again, you don't like McD and never have!..
A shame we didn't have that bod from Chelsea eh?..
Then we'd have one off the worlds best to bring down, and I don't mean Bates, I mean the manager they now have!..
Have you ever been put on the spot that our players now find themselves, it seems not, but if ever you are put on it then I hope you give 100% like you seem to think they should do!..
I could say I know what its like for them but I wouldn't want you beleiving me so I won't eh?..
Them zits upstairs and the ones before have made what we now see, its all easy sitting here and blaming the players because as far as I'm concerned sitting here they are as much to blame as anyone, but at the same time I know why they are to blame, and Leeds United is as far away from their minds as football is at this moment in time!..
So that leaves the manager!..
Oh well, the zits upstairs, players that have no reason to give 100%, and fans that are playing the blame game!..
Last man standing comes to mind!..
But like I said, nothings going to change until them zits upstairs get it sorted, but it looks like one or two people in this zit life will meet their maker before that gets done don't it?..
Easy putting the blame, but is the blame really where its being put?..
I don't think so, but hey, this is the real world so some will put it there just for the sake of doing so, so keep up the good work all!.
