Recently I have heard several managers criticising their players - most noticeably JM - but when Paolo Di Canio did the same he was absolutely slated! Where are all the pundits giving them grief for it - or was this purely an anti Paolo campaign?!

And to be perfectly honest I'd rather here him come out and say something honest like that the players were not good enough tonight as opposed to his usual nonesense about blaming the referee/fourth official/shape of the ball/moth buzzing around the floodlight lamp.

Surely honesty also involves owning up to your own mistakes.

Come on now, this is Jose the self appointment special one Mourinho we are talking about here. One step at a time. It was a huge effort on his part not to blame Chris Foy

Tim Sherwood also came out and publicly criticised his player and again was lorded for it! I don't see a problem with it, just really hated the way PDC was treated by the media for doing the very same thing!

Mourinho's man management skills are terrible, if he likes you then great but if he doesn't then your a gonna!

That's the same as any business anywhere in the world. If I don't like one of my team then they would be moved on pretty quickly.
Mourinho has plenty of flaws but this isn't one of them in my eyes. He builds a group of players he trusts and in return he gets a tight squad who play for each other - one of his strengths I'd say.

Sherwood seems to be getting a very easy ride from the media despite being totally inadequate for his job. But then again he was bizarrely pushed by the media for the job in the first place.

He's kind of lucky that Moyes is doing so badly, it's providing a media distraction for Sherwood.

Maureen and De Canio are beyond comparison in my view. When did Maureen ever manage a bottom of the table club, with no money, someone else deciding who is to be bought and sold? In his last four clubs, especially with the Russian idiot owner and bottomless pockets he had the freedom to buy that few if any other managers had.

Sorry mate but you need to look at your own team skills then.
I've got one or two people that I don't like but they are very good at their jobs. They don't know that I don't like them, they know that I do value them
