The 2013/14 season has so far seen 8 managers sacked, but is it simply a fact of the modern game or a disruptive element of impatience that needs to be addressed?
I can't help but agree with the article below, there's been quite a few freak results this season, and IMO too many clubs looking for a quick fix.

It's looking like we'll have yet another manager in for next season, with van Gaal the only candidate so far. He's vastly experienced and will demand that we play "total football" - the style adopted by Guardiola and to some extent AVB.
We have to be patient with this one lads, it's a system that takes time and patience to perfect. I think his CV will earn LvG two seasons at least, by which time we should be ready to approach de Boer from a more attractive position.
Next season

Sorry, but Pep does NOT play "total" football.
In fact, has anyone outside of the great Dutch sides of the 1970s really ever played it ??

Maybe not entirely RDBD but the tactical side is similar even if players have more defined positions. For me it's defined these days by having a defender come playmaker that pulls the strings and recycles possession. He's used Busquets and Lahm to this effect, and Mourinho is trying it with Luiz. The attacking midfield players are free to attack.
Regardless, it's going to look more like avb's Spurs with the focus on possession.. people are gonna moan

The recent talk has been of the Barca-fication of Munich by Pep, rather than the Barca possession/possession game simply augmenting their already good play of last season.

He has made them a lot tighter and more patient in possession. Most of the hard work was done for him though

Barca 2010/2011 produced the best football I've ever seen.

Doesn't make it "total" .
And complaints about the Pep Barca-fication of Munich abound.
Even the Kaiser has commented on it.
Watching the game this week, he and others may have a point.
