Tomorrow: The True Litmus Test?

We've negotiated most of the perceived 'tough away games' against teams outside the top 5 pretty convincingly this season (Spurs, Southampton, Stoke, Man Utd) only coming up really short at Hull.

Now we have another one.

West Ham always give us a hard game on their patch and they've got players who will be out to prove a point or three!!

A tricky fixture then? Actually, our record against the Hammers is decent. They have only won two of their previous 21 meetings against us in the Premier League (W2, D4, L15).

I think we will come through tomorrow's match with the straight 9 and will walk on to the next home fixture with it still in our own hands.

Every game is a litmus test
We beat West Ham last season without a striker.

Shelvey played as a false 9 and JCole scored.

If it is a litmus test then I hope the result is pH1 ( red)

Pressure is bang on now, lets win and win well; lets show cfc and city that it matters not what they do. It will sap their confidence.

Gb totally agree with you. If we win then city will know we will be going full tilt at them.

The record for most consecutive wins is 14 set by Arsenal

Can't help but feel if we break that record we win the league

I'm hoping West Ham get at least a point tomorrow.

But I doubt that they will. Equally however, I can't help but feel that Liverpool's current great run of form won't last - if only because winning numerous games in succession rarely happens, no matter how good a team is.

That's not to say that it isn't feasible that Liverpool will win all of their remaining games. And if they do, not only will they win the title, but be more than worthy winners

Full credit to Liverpool for what they've achieved in the league this season, no matter what the outcome is.

I don't fancy our (City's) chances at Anfield, even though I think man for man, City have the better players. Several points are worth saying though. 1, Liverpool are back to where the clubs history says they belong. 2, Suarez no doubt has no regrets about staying at Anfield. 3, CL football will entice players to Liverpool, more so than such players would be enticed by City or Chelsea. 4, the club will only progress from here. Liverpool back in the CL, given the clubs stature in the game, will only be good for English football.
