We were all saying before the season started that we thought it would take weeks for so many new players to gel. No one was saying "sack Sven if we've only got three points after three games", because that's about what we anticipated. Then we win at Coventry, and suddenly everyone thinks 'job done'…
How about accepting we were right in the first place, and shouldn't have got carried away with a one-goal victory over the worst team in the division?

Well said fatfox, just as we won't get carried away with our start, apart from players gelling, team spirit is vital,we have it in abundance at the moment, leicester less so.This league is a marathon and lots of time to get it right,is sven the man,we shall see.

Criticism of the manager at this stage is surely premature. That said, this is not where I expected to see Leicester after 3 games.
What would be worrying is if you're not playing well. When West Ham lost their first game to Cardiff, we took positives from the fact we played well and were unlucky.

That is the problem myhammers, there aren't too many positives to take from the last 2 games. I'm not worried as yet and it's ridiculous that people are wanting a change at the top - everyone at Leicester should be fully aware of the turmoil caused by constantly changing their manager. I believe we have quality squad, but are still lacking width and a natural goal scorer.

"WELL" I think we can do better. I HOPE SO. for your sake

I don't think anyone is seriously suggesting changing manager - There may have been a few angry outbursts last night - But that's all they were, in the cold light of day it can rightly be seen as just that.
It was Sven himself that told us these players won't need time to gel - Maybe that was just mind games for the oppositions benefit but maybe the players are finding the expectation a little hard to handle - Maybe the pressures got to them - Maybe a sports psychologist could work on them to try and ease the load? - Maybe I'm just typing male genitalia?

We are all gutted about the start of the season but lets see after 10 games.
Its obvious now to all that we are not going to walk this league although as last night showed one good striker could win you the league and Southampton have two!

I think deep down we all knew it would take time for the players to gel, although it is difficult to try and think clearly after two defeats in quick succession.
The one thing I am most dissappointed with is Sven constantly mentioning the need to start the season better than last year and for us to have a solid defence. For me, you do not achieve this by changing your CB partnership after one bad game.
It is early days, but to finish in the top two (obviously this is based on form being consistent over the season), you can only really afford to lose a couple of games every 11/12. So, we have already put pressure on ourselves to go on a mini unbeaten run.

I'm surprised that Sven didn't go for the diamond formation seeing as it is the formation that has seen us play our best football so far this season. The team was too slow and ponderous in possession and we couldn't create anything. Wellens had one of the worst games I've seen him play. He is supposed to be our spark in midfield but he rarely made a foward pass. Everyone was calling for Dyer to play but is was a classic Lloyd performance for me. Every time he did beat his full-back and crossed it, the ball ended up nearer to the steward than the striker.
Again Nugent was fighting a lone battle up top with no support. King wasn't as close as he usually was and again the wide men stayed too wide. The only decent spell we had was after our goal when our tails were up and Gally had a chance that he should of scored and maybe that would have changed the game but it wasn't good enough. Credit to Bristol City, the early goal allowed them to set-up with men behind the ball and then look to get Maynard in behind on the break and Nicky was clever in that he identified early on that he should target St Ledger who had a shocker. He was about 2 yards behind Bamba all game which meant we could never catch Maynard off-side and then to gift them their goal like that was unacceptable.
What is worrying is that two teams have come here and played us on the break and have beaten us. Thankfully I doubt Forest will do that at The City Ground so we might be able to play them toe-to-toe as it were so I think we'll fare better in that one. But we do need more potency up front (which we're trying to address) and creativity in midfield. Bristol City were very clever in that their 5 midfielders were all very narrow and it was almost 5 centre-mid's that they played with so what we should have done is tucked the wide players in more to even up the numbers and use the full-backs to give width. That happened sometimes (mainly down the left with Konchesky and Gally) but not often enough. I think the diamond formation should be used because it gives us more numbers in midfield and ensures that Nugent won't be left isolated.
Definately not time to consider sacking the manager because he has built a strong squad that I think needs more time to gel together and if we can be there or there abouts and in touching distance of the top two come the turn of the year, I think we have the squad to be able to push on in the 2nd half of the season once they have gelled properly and the depth to counter some of the fatigue that some other teams might be feeling. Shouldn't panic yet, it's still early and we are more than capable of recovering. As long as we learn and improve from these two defeats, I think we can still push for auto's.

Be patient. I should expect there were severe rollickings going on all around that changing/dressing room last night. Some good will come of them.
I don't know if Sven can raise his voice though.
I need to shift myself down to the ground more often. Apart from Real, I haven't seen them lose there since about 2004 when they lost to Fulham.
