The Posh V The Gills

Peterborough host Gillingham on Tuesday night. A must-win for the Posh, which will not be easy as the Gills gave Rotherham a scare on Saturday.

A healthy crowd is expected thanks to Darragh repaying those who went to Wembley with £5 entry to this match. We should be able to repay Darragh and the team in this key game with the support we showed there.

Unlike against Wolves, our attackers should be given the opportunity to do their job and widen the gap between ourselves and the following pack.

Big game...if you win this the resulting 6 point gap will take the pressure off and you can relax a little.

I have never been able to stand Gillingham since an ill-fated visit there back in the 1960s...a truly awful place.

Finishing 6th is fine, you have as much chance as the side finishing 3rd and usually more impetus too.

Good luck on Tuesday

Many thanks, Don. If we do finish 6th, I'm hoping that Orient finish 4th. Their form is not as good as the other teams above us at the moment.

Good gesture by your chairman, hope a lot of the glory hunters actually turn up.
I hope you win as have history with the Gillingham manager, a man who singlehandedly ruined my club, and has made a good career from being sacked by most of the clubs he has managed.
Hope you make the play-offs, and Poshtohauntyou , that is not tongue in cheek,
You are lucky, we have nothing to play for our season is over, will have to support Posh for a few weeks!!

We'll try and oblige, TF. Congtatz to your team, and "enjoy" watching/"supporting" Posh for the rest of the season

Very recent rain may mean a soggy pitch.

Ex-Poshie Chris Whelpdale may return to London Road with the Gills. Always nice to welcome back players who gave their all for the club. Hope, though, he doesn't score.

C'mon the Posh!

And old boy, Charlie Lee, may also be making a welcome re-appearance at London Road this evening. Again, don't score, Charlie - unless it's a consolation goal.

A comfortable win, and good second half display. Nugent, in particular, impressed; but the whole team played well. Good also to see Charlie Lee get a warm welcome back.

Tougher opposition on Saturday - Coventry. Payback time!

Important win Thorney, I'm sure you'll be OK for 6th place now. Good stuff.

We've got Brentford on Saturday, very tough but it's a game we'll really want to get something from in view of last year's play off games.

Feeling confident now, Don, especially after seeing how our defence played yesterday.

The Bees are on a roll, so will be tough to contain on Saturday. Hope you get an invigorating win on Saturday.
