Really baffled that Chamberlain did not start today. The team is begging out for outright pace, yet he is left on the bench. Not only that, we are up against the best attacking left back in the league today, yet we play Cazorla up against him on that wing. Doesn't Wenger prepare for the oppositions strong areas? I mean it can't be that hard to spot that our right hand side will need some sort of protection with all the sophisticated technology available!
Also Giroud has been utter shiite since his incident before the Liverpool game. Surely if Wenger plays Sanogo up front against Bayern, he could have played him more or even play Podolski up front. And what's happened to super Nick?
We need a massive boost, hopefully we win next week at Wembley and then go onto win our remaining games.
How can you not start Chamberlain?

Agreed. Wenger doesn't seem to realise how important pace is in the final third, and it seems no amount of dire performances will make him aware of this fact.
They dominated us away from home at the start of the season when were without Walcott and Chamberlain, so how he thought playing such a slow frontline was going to work at Goodison is beyond me.
Knew we'd get smashed the second I saw the line-up, so how Wenger doesn't see it is beyond me.

Wenger doesn't change based on opposition. We're getting schooled by managers who Wenger should have the better of.

problem was oxlade has been so rubbish lately, it's only safe to play him wide.

I read he has clauses in his contract that force Arsenal to pay Southampton quite abit everytime he plays.

Chamberlain's looked great every time he has played outwide for us this season.
I think he has the potential to be a very good central midfielder in the right system, but right now, we need him down the flanks.
King, I've heard that too, but I'm not sure how much it really affects his game time; I can't imagine Arsenal would want to spend so much on a player only to restrict his game-time.....almost defeats the point of agreeing such a deal in the first-place.
Either way, the amount of revenue we'd lose out on from not qualifying for the CL would far outweigh the amount we have to pay per appearance, so I really hope this isn't Wenger's and the board's logic.

Mentioned it another thread, can't believe Arsenal didn't start with Ox, unless his fitness wasn't all that.
The minute he came on he caused us problems and nearly scored.
