In the long term I think yes, but that's seemingly along long way with the board and current manager.
Whilst we managed an undefeated season, we never built on it. If you look at teams that recently gone undefeated like Juventus who managed to retain the title the following year. Ajax who went 65 games undefeated and won the treble. AC Milan went onto win the champions league the following year.
We did the opposite, and built a stadium and ripped the guts out of the team, and made every excuses of why things aren't going well,

Despite the unbeaten team which was broken up too soon to be honest, Arsenal moving the stadium was at the right time in general. With FFP, it'd be very hard More than so now.

If I recall correctly, Dein was among the few on the board who didn't really fully support the idea of a move away from Highbury.
It's possible he knew then what we know now - that the Emirates represents a huge cash-cow for the board, and was never really about our progress as a club.

Sorry, continued - I think they were looking for the right excuse to give him the boot anyway - he was so popular among the coaching staff and the players, as well as the supporters, that he was resented among the rest of the board.
