Have The Players Lost Faith

Does anyone believe the players have lost faith with Wenger, his ability to turn things around for the club.

I actually believe they have just look at the Chelsea result if they players cant get motivated for their managers 1000th game in charge what chance do you have as a manager then. You have players in the squad who are putting themselves 1st instead of the team. But also how much same rhetoric can the players hear before they become bored of it, i think the players know Wenger doesnt have it anymore to lead them & has lost the dressing room.

Look how much has happened recently you have the Bendtner antics, Giroud sleeping around, Sanogo punching senior player & more concerned with going to parties after games i.e Ozil. Has their been a more turbulent off field time in recent history.

What was supposed to be positive era in club (the Ozil signing, new sponsorship deal) has turned sour very quickly, the way we are playing atm is like a team scraping for survival in the top flight not one that should be contending for the big prizes. Its a good thing we wrapped that Puma deal up when we did as of right now they wouldnt touch us, i also assume their would be clauses in that deal as is with the Emirates deal, that no UCL equals less money they will be paying the club.

We could go from signing Ozil to missing out on UCL and losing FA Cup all in a space of a year, i actually fear for the club as if the Sponsors dont pay up we dont have the cash to buy players but also keep them. I can see many leaving regardless i mean how many times can a manager lie to the players and expect them to remain that loyal. You cant attract the likes of Ozil again in the future when you promise you'll be signing world class players & end up with Kallstrom no disrespect intended towards him tho.

I think that's mainly because they've realised that Wenger is losing the plot. I think the players are worried for their own careers, and they're afraid that Wenger might drag them down with him - just by association.

Watching the game yesterday, it was clear nobody wanted to take responsibility; nobody wanted the ball. The players are essentially trying to protect themselves, to minimise their association with this low point in Arsenal history - because the more involved they are, the more Wenger's increasingly-delusional supporters will try to blame them.

low point in Arsenal history
------
4th in the league and in the FA Cup semi final. If you think this is a low point in our history you are very young, and very fortunate.

From 7 points clear at the top at new year, to ten points off the top four months later - all the while conceding 22 goals in fourteen games since then. Yep, good times.

Big difference between it being good times and being a low point in our 128 year history. Like I said, you just be young and fortunate not to have had to put up with real low points.

Here we go with this tired old argument.

"There have been worse times before, therefore we should just bury our heads in the sand and not pass comment on bad times happening now."

It's like being a victim of child abuse, then getting married to somebody who tries to control you. Just because it's proportionately not as bad, doesn't mean it's acceptable. Wenger has now overseen the longest trophyless period in Arsenal's history since 1970. Surely, you're not old enough to remember the barren spell before that?

For all the reasons the OP has stated, Arsenal are the new Man United.

It may not be 'the worst', but it's certainly one of the most disappointing moments in recent history. Perhaps because our expectations were so high, higher even than 'Birmingham' because we don't have anything to blame.

I am losing faith in the manager, wenger never changes anything, same tactics each time we have been thrashed by good sides, never learns apparently

You could take a manager in the conference to one side, and ask him how he would play against Wenger. Chances are, he'd say that he would pack the midfield, use his full-backs to double-team Arsenal's flanks, and run at Arsenal's defence with the ball.

That's how predictable Wenger is - there literally isn't a manager in the country who is surprised by what he does. Yesterday, any other manager would have made a change at half-time, but every Arsenal fan knew that he wouldn't.
