The new FM thread

Just completed my 3rd season at Dortmund we surprisingly did relatively better than the previous season when my attackers were on fire.

We accumulated a record points total, and once again had the German top scorer and CL top scorer in our ranks(same players as last year). The odd thing is that my league striker only started firing consistently around February.

We won the League and the CL against my old club Madrid, however we lost to Leverkusen in the Pokal final.

I'm currently faced witha dilemma though. PSG just sold a ST to United, and offered me up to 102m for my league top scorer who's 22 and will improve. I already have his replacement who's 19 and has the stats to be even better than the bidded player. However the bidded player works well with my support striker while the 19 year old seemed to struggle when I played him in the first half of the season before sending him out on loan.

Also getting a new stadium, due to be completed in 2025. Hoping for it to be called after me!

Star rating can be based on their form and game time as well, it's a good base for scouting young players just for first team players you search by attributes you need

Regarding striker starting to score in Feb, happened with my Tottenham save every season with Soldado.
First part of the season was so useless, had scored 2 penalties by Feb, then bangs them in and gets league top scorer.

Another season gone at Dortmund and this year we've clean sweeped the board. The Bundesliga was decided with a 1-0 victory over Leverkusen at home with 3 games to spare.

I however had some rather concerning performances. Lost away to Bayern 5-2 and was mauled 4-0 away to MAINZ!!! Was disgusted with that performance, as they got 1 goal in the 1st half while we dominated, switched to a 4-5-1 to counter their 4-4-2 and we conceded 3 more goals. My scout with tactical knowledge told me train for attacking set-pieces, most if not all the goals were scored from defensive set plays added to that, this was Mainz who was in 14th.

Needless to say, my team did well. Swept most of the awards including top CL and league scorer for the 3 year on the trot, my first with my new strikers and I expect even better from them next year. I believe they managed 70 goals in all competitions between them.

A bit annoyed that for all the time I spend getting in the right coaches, matching them with the right responsibilities and keeping all my facilities up to date, my club is seemingly unable to produce a half decent player. I currently have 4 17 year olds to integrate in my squad next season/ send on loan and bar 1 or 2, I've no hope for the others who I poached from other academies.

Also unlike Madrid, my youth team seems to be functioning. They've won the Varregia(sp) tournament twice, U-19 Cup twice and the league twice in the 3 full seasons I've been there. Recently moved their current GK in real life, Roman Weiserfeller(sp) to the Dortmund II head coach and brought in a higher rated coach to see if I can get the Uefa U-19 title. Will probably stay at Dortmund until 2o16 when our new stadium is built so I can have it named after me before I move to either Frabce or Italy. Will probably save Man United for last as I cannot see myself leaving for another club when I sign at OT

While I was playing the game of late, I was looking at the kits and saying it would be decent to change the kit designs from time to time instead of having the same kits(real life 13/14). Did some scouring around and with the templates and some ideas from some forums, I've managed to make 3 new kits for Man United as well as a new home kit for my current Dortmund save. Will upload my attempts within the next few hours for feedback

5th season done and dusted and we've swept the board this year, accumulating the highest points total and highest goals scored and most consecutive wins, losing two games all season.

During this season, I also got confirmation that we will in fact get a new 106K stadium and it will be named after me the downside is that it will be completed in another 3 seasons, and I had just about made plans to leave Germany this season as the OT job has opened up Seedorf has resigned. Made the decision to stay for 4 more seasons as I can bear to think of another manager leading out my team in our new stadium.

We also received a takeover from some Brazilian chaps, who immediately used our in club funds to fund the stadium project - so healthy are our finances that we are paying for the project from our pocket.

To recoup some funds I decided to sell Shaw and one of my CAMs who I got a combined fee of 100m. Got in some German talent and within 4 seasons I should have more academy players in my 1st team. Currently have 3.

One problem I have is that there's a French youngster that's highly rated, I declared an interest and he gave a positive response saying its a dream... I had a bid accepted for him, and when it comes to offering a contract, it says he's no interest in joining

Something I've noticed at least twice in my game is the computer adding goals to the opposition between highlights or replays.

One game I played and went into the half one-nil down, we scored 3 quick goals, and when I look at the score I notice it saying 3-2.

Another time I was away and 1-0 down, the opposition scored to make it 2-0 and then I hit back immediately, at the end of the highlight for my goal, I see 3-1
