In my head this morning, I was thinking about making a world XI in which you could only use one player from a given team. This is what I came up with:
Courtois
Lahm Hummels Thiago Silva Baines
Vidal Toure
Ronaldo Messi Hazard
Suarez
Can you do better? Remember, only one player per team.

12 months ago Mata was being talked alongside Silva and Cazorla and he is still that same player. Ask Silva to trackback in a Mourinho team and see what he turns out like. Ditto Cazorla.

You've listed two players that play in his position, not 11. And I wouldn't agree that Di Maria is better. Ozil you have a case.

two things struck me here...
1) did the OP mean international teams (i.e. one from each international team)
2) I havn't spotted Rooney anywhere on here...& as such cannot take any of this seriously as I keep getting told he is world class
