With 6/7 games left we've scored 77 (seventy seven) goals so far this season spread amongst 16 players throughout the whole team and remarkably only one (Ciftci on 14) in double figures. We also have 3 players hovering just below the double figures mark. GMS 9, Armstrong 9 and Gauld on 8, wonder what's the chances finishing with 4 in double figures I'm also curious to a 'goals in a season' record for United although I'd assume there was times in the 80's we probably scored more
Anyway think we need a Tangerine Files Goals Special 13/14 DVD at the end of this season.
Anyway here's my team for Saturday cannae wait
Rado
Watson ~ Souttar ~ Gunning ~ Robertson
Paton ~ Rankin
Armstrong ~ Gauld ~ GMS
Ciftci
Probably the biggest game of the season for both clubs, think this our strongest 11.
Goals and Scorers...

In terms of amount of goals and entertainment we've done really well this season and despite only being 4th it's been a good season. Now we have an opportunity to make it a great season and hopefully the boys will take that chance with a win on Saturday.
Although I think the team you listed is probably our strongest, I think Dow will start ahead of Gauld based on recent form. I really hope Dillon doesn't play too.

As a side note and not wanting to count any chickens before they hatch... We have four players who are one booking away from missing the next match in the cup - Çiftçi, Robertson, Rankin and GMS. Four players we can ill afford to lose should we make it to the final.

I take it the SFA haven't followed the FIFA/UEFA route and abolished yellows at the semi final stage? They really should.

I think Dow for Gauld is maybe the only change I can see it that team, although Dow has been good I'd be tempted to start with Gauld as he is better and is more likely to draw attention from the opposition freeing up the others
Aye you wouldn't want to lose any of them for the final, but at the same time you'd rather be in the final without them than not there at all......

Dow is in much better form than Gauld though, would be very harsh to drop him for a guy that hasn't played well at all this year.
Hopefully Mackay-Steven starts though, and on the left. Him up against Foster would be delightful.

How did Gauld play when he came on on Saturday?? We were much better 2nd half, but I'm not sure who that's down to right enough Just think Rangers would be more fearful of Gauld, but I'll trust JMac to get it right.

I thought he was ok when he came on but no better than that. Considering I'd entirely written him off it's surprising how well Dow has done. Think he's earned the right to start on Saturday.
I think the change to bring GMS on and to push Ciftci up front was the big change on Saturday. Graham shouldn't be anywhere near the team. I'm not sure about number of subs but if it's 5 I wouldn't have him on the bench after that performance.

Nah, milkmen and posties finish before lunchtime
I work feckin ridiculous hours and get paid peanuts. Well that's not technically true but get feck all overtime. Can't wait to be time served so I can pie this company
Wind-ups aside, seems to be a good time to be a United or Aberdeen fan. Hopefully yourselves and Motherwell can keep your teams together for next season, and Aberdeen might strengthen. Never know, might even get another unseen pretender playing well next season to keep things interesting.
