We need a fresh hungry team in this game so I'd switch it up a tad and inject some pace and youth into the side. Also I'd give an opportunity to those with points to prove like Shezza instead of Fabianski. It's more important that our future keeper should experience this day out rather than someone half way out the door.

A team like this would excite me. Having just returned from injury playing deep in such a high intense game might be asking a lot from Rambo but he can still help us press further up the field while getting beyond Sanogo. Ox is a no brainer. Rosicky and Santi dropped it's time to cut out the tippy tappy and be straight to the point more dynamic style. The front 4 have solid protection behind them and can threaten
Kallstrom? Yes I've got the gist of what type of player he is, I see a watered down Matic in him without maybe the energy to drive forward but his vision makes up for that he can really find a pass something Arteta can no longer do efficiently anymore, he's also got the frame and build to give us real strong protection in front of the back 4 which we'll need if Kos isn't available. Arteta is pretty useless in the sense that he doesn't give us much defensively or going forward. Flamini as shown Vs City can have that game winning mentality we'll need his character especially if we go a goal down.
Jenkinson I think he deserves a chance him and Ox could really relish a partnership down the flank I've seen them succeed before. Also I'm considering Espinoza/Mcmannaman who may have too much energy and enthusiasm for an isolated Sagna. Jenks can also give us something more constant going forward with his crossing ability and Sanogo being in the box.
Sanogo over Giroud? Yes, Giroud actually offers nothing and the big occasion gets to him Sanogo offers better running in behind and is a different unpredictable animal to deal with, he'll relish the chance a lot more than OG.

Rumours that Kallstrom is in line for a start. If Flamini is out then I suppose Arteta can come in which is a blow but this gives more reason for Kallstrom to start because Arteta if left isolated alongside Ramsey will be a tragedy.
Ox & Pod should be on both wings so we can get more crosses in and goal threat we never trouble full backs anymore because all the player want to interchange inside. If Ramsey played deep then I'd put Rosicky in the hole over Santi as he's more suited to the big occasion.

Arteta needs a rest. I wouldn't oppose Kallstrom and Ramsey. A change is as good as the rest.

KK and Aaron have played about 40 minutes between them this year, would be a massive risk to throw them in together in a Wembley semi final against a high intensity Wigan midfield.

Like your team but not sure about Pod in the hole if space on his left side is cut off he'll be pretty useless there he's better at shooting from angles and getting into wide spots in the box, he also lacks creativity which you need in the hole. I think that is Ramsey's future best position and his fitness will allow us to press high.
I'd keep my team with Arteta in for Flamini (as he's suspended). I like Gnabry but we'll need Pods goal threat I think Gnabry will be a useful impact player though

To start Santi or Poldi won't make a difference. A lot of people said Poldi is $hitte but Santi is not any better recently. They are both in bad form.
However, our dear old man will start one of them (or even both), see if he proves me wrong this time.
I want to see some speed and heart from this team against Wigan.

Part of the reason Cazorla's in bad form is because he does not have runners around him; it's the same reason why Ozil has been underperforming.
Put Gnabry and Chamberlain either side of him, and I'm sure Cazorla will do well.

Poldi only suffers when the midfield is filled with creative midfielders he tries to get involved in the possession stuff but that's not his game but when he is 1 of 2 wingers (Him & Theo last season) he's a lot more effective especially on the break (see West Ham home)
1 creative player central with Poldi and Ox either side would benefit our style a lot more, Wenger never plays to our most effective players' strengths, even the statue Giroud is looking worse than he naturally is because he's isolated. What the hell is he going to do when the balls played to him with no support?
The amount of creative players behind our forward is our biggest problem and Arsene must let this go.

I don't know and don't think this is our creative midfield's problem. To point out the obvious, to have midfielders like us and then have a striker like Giroud just does not makes sense. Their styles just do not match, not saying who is better who is not here. Their styles just do not match.

Giroud does not deserve to start. I actually reckon he will be dropped. Sanogo scored a legit goal against everton too
