I've done on a few of the more idiotic pointless one now. I wasn't going to but on some threads there was twice as many inane comments on our threads than the rest of us. It's too easy to get drawn in and nearly ends up as a slanging match.

It's a shame admin cannot come up with something that just allows Forest fans to comment on Forest threads if that's what the OP wants

There should be a button that marries in with the posters preferred team. If a poster changes his/her team then it should take 24 hours to change each time. This would stop posters switching just to comment on a thread that they are barred from.
Or
if a poster selects a team (where the thread will appear) then only posters as above who have that team as their preferred team can comment. This would stop general debate though unless their is a general debate button added to the team selected as well.
Can't be rocket science really can it?

I suppose that's what filter does to a certain extent, least that way you can just target those that are guilty of continual idiocy. Knowing them though they will start complaining about being excluded, like they did with Rev
