Unbelievable result today, still have hardly settled down.
Aside from the Henderson red card, there's another HUGE negative to have come out the game. Sturridge limping off with a hamstring injury is bad news and even a grade 1 tear takes at least two weeks. I'm worried it might even be worse than that as I saw him limping on a couple of occasions in the game so maybe tried to play on so made it further?
Anyway, huge blow if so and what do you think King Brenny should do about it if it's true??

Sturridge could use the rest to refocus..
for me hes moved his focus from team goals to trying to maintain his excellent goal record, and its causing us trouble up top, we are fast approaching the dalglish season levels of wastefulness.
when he and suarez look to play each other in more often the team benefits, but as he has slowly reverted to his selfish stereotype suarez is getting cheesed off, probably because it will cost him the goal records (and hes already smashed them for non-penalty takers).
We were smashing teams with sturridge earlier in the season, some time off to refocus may be no bad thing, although would have loved his pace vs Norwich.

I'd say in isolation not necessarily an awful thing. Sturridge has gone off the boil lately and he had probably his worst game since joining us yesterday. A couple of games out will probably do him some good in my opinion.
My thoughts would be to push Sterling and Coutinho up either side of Suarez and have Gerrard, Allen and Lucas in the middle for the Norwich game. It does present a little more of a problem for the Chelsea game though as I'd expect Rodgers to want to go with the diamond against them but I'm not sure the players available will make that work.

Sterling will be the key man for Chelsea.
He has to play, and try and keep Willian occupied.

Hadn’t realised he was taken off because of an injury, I honestly thought it was because he was playing so bad. A Sturridge in from you’re obviously going to miss but I didn’t think you missed him at all yesterday, as mentioned Sterling will be even more important for you now.

Didn't Luis score more goals per game when Sturridge was out last time?

Sturridge has been a little off the boil for a few weeks but yesterday i put down to a couple of factors, firstly he was almost over keen - I think he feels he has unfinished business with City and he let it impact him. Secondly his strike partner was at his childish worst.
That said, the miss from Sterling's wonderfully cross showed a man slightly out of form.
I can't see Aspas being trusted so I expect it'll be Suarez flanked by Sterling and Coutinho.
As a side issue, everyone seems to be looking past Norwich as if it's a foregone conclusion. They're scrapping for their lives, they're not just going to roll over for us.

Yup he was almost trying too hard to make an impact.

The Palace game represents the biggest challenge. Sturridge looked off the pace recently, Luis started to play yesterday at times with his stupid head on,not nice to watch.
