Think it's so, so difficult for keepers to spend months on the sidelines then be thrown in to start a game at the top level.

Such a shame to have two top keepers and have to lose one, where was Fab when Almunia was in his prime?

Flapianski has always been very capable at shot stopping - but he makes silly mistakes and gets bullied on crosses into the box - nothing ever changed on these two limitations.

Favourite save was away to Wolves. 1-0 up in the last few minutes, makes a magnificent save down low to his left, then Chamakh goes up the other end and seals it.

GKs generally reach their prime quite late. Its irritating to lose Fab now when he seems to be in his prime years. During the Almunia days, Fab was still not ready. Plus, Fab never had a consistent run of games to establish himself, save a period in the middle when he actually was playing really well, but he got injured, and Szczezny got his chance aginst United, and has been a first teamer since.

I was defending Fabianski since before it was popular. I was right about him, and I'm determined to be right about Giroud.
