So the finishing line is approaching & the front runners are vying for the top spot.
The question to my fellow Spurs fans, is who do we want to win the PL?
From a personal point of view I hope Chelsea DO NOT win it, why? He may well be the chosen one, but I actually think Mourinho brings the beautiful game into disrepute everytime he ventures onto the touchline.
He harangues and tries to bully the 4th official at every match. His tactics are cynical & he prepares to not lose a game, rather than win it. His results like the win over PSG might be impressive, but there is a certain lack of sportsmanship about him & the club I dislike!
As for City, whilst I do think they have been fortunate to have rocketed to the top, courtesy of the "Oil Sheiks", they are a much more likeable setup & at least they try to play football, if at times they have shot themselves in the foot. First half of the season they were scoring at will & vastly entertaining. Second half it is like a different team, partly due to Aguero's absence & also the fact Kompany has been out. Toure is immense in midfield too.
So that leaves Liverpool, to say that have have completely blind sided everyone from the start of the season is an understatement.
Critics, myself included, thought their start to the season was never going to last & that Liverpool at best would be challenging for 4th or 5th spot.
How wrong were we?? About 3 miles wide of the mark actually.
No Suarez for the first matches of the campaign & yet they still performed, playing with pace and no little skill they built up a good points base to welcome their top goalscorer back.
To win ten games on the bounce is indeed title winning form, and whilst I thought they rode their luck yesterday, they have never deserted the attacking principles that have seen them top of the PL.
Once Skrtel had got away with punching the ball in his own box, you get the feeling Liverpool's name is on the trophy!
I would like to see them do it, they have been entertaining, decisive & get out of the blocks quicker than Usain Bolt!
I can even put up with (for a short while) the inevitable abuse from one or two of their more irritating posters on here, whilst I am sure that the more sensible ones will show a little humility
To go from 7th last year to leading the PL with 4 games to go is truly an amazing turnaround. Great credit must go to Brendan Rodgers & his staff, their players for buying into his methods and the support they get. Love them or hate them, Liverpool have some of the best fans in the World!
So come on Liverpool, one last push to cross that line first!

"That would make sense if they were playing Barca every week but they were not so I don't really understand the premise."
They both had the same opponents over the season, yet it was the turgid manager who smashed the goal record.

It's not though its it."
Yes it is, Benny did a good job, but Villa aside the football was horrible, i think i am in a better position to comment.

And we're in a better position to talk about Rafa and Kenny at Liverpool but that doesn't stop you quoting the same line about it being the most boring football you've ever seen over and over again

Liverpool have surprised people this year with their consistency and teams have been caught out. You'll find out next season that teams will be more wary and used to the style of play, they'll up their game against the champions (if you do go on to win it), and will keep things much tighter. Grinding out 1-0 wins will become good results even if the style of victory becomes more attritional.
I don't get why people call Chelsea dull. Chelsea create enough chances, we just don't score them. If we did people wouldn't be talking the way they are.
The fact is that Mourinho reverted to the formation and tactics he felt was necessary to allow this current group of players to challenge best. He tried a more open style but results did not come and we did not perform well.

Although I can see your point Guv I don't really agree. Utd scored lots of goals last season but most of their fans will tell you the football was dull and functional.
As said the Mata sale was telling. There is a flair player who scores and creates goals and gets the crowd on their feet so much so that he got player of the season twice. Bombed out because he did not do teh functional stuff well enough. The full backs are not tricky attacking types, the midfield is work man like and then there is Hazard.
I do find it fairly dull.

City for me for a fair few reasons. Don't mind 'Pool but there is a lot of history around the club that makes me dislike it, they do play nice football and I do like Rodgers.
Would hate for Chelsea to win it.

Mourinho's problem is his willingness to shut up shop at 1-0 rather than go for more goals. That annoys me too.
The fact does remain that teams often park the bus against us and it is not easy to break them down. You will find more of that yourselves next season.

I think you're safe Edinspur. I don't see us winning it. Liverpool are on such a run they'll only come unstuck if they suddenly freeze which I don't see them doing.
Extraordinary finish to the season. Pleased for Rodgers. Ex Chelsea so always happy to see good guys do well.

I think you lost it when you lost vs Villa as well Guv.
