hey manfrombelmontey

so I am over in Massachusetts next weekend and are looking for some where to watch the match!
obviously I want to be in the Phoenix but as I mentioned my girlfriend is Chelsea.. grrr haha
when I came over back in 2010 for the USA v England match the Phoenix was recommended over the Banshee (great place) as I was going and being England as it wouldn't be as intense and be more relaxed. I know the Phoenix is lfc through but would we get away with it.. well not me haha
But that year we ended up in what was Bad Abbots in Quincy and it got daft by the end.. a great time!

I take it you are talking about the Chelsea game?

If so, the kick off here is at 9am. Phoenix Landing Doors will probably be open at 7am as theres another game on at that time. The Landing is not exclusively LFC, but generally does have 75% of the fans there being LFC fans. With this being the only game on at that time I would imagine there would be maybe 5 or 10 chelsea fans, a few random ones of other teams and the remaining 130-140 LFC fans. There's never any anomosity between fans other than in this case, loudly and repeatedly pointing out that chlesea have no history.

Personally I will be there 1 1/2hrs before kick off. Very difficult to get a table or a seat unless you are there at the crack of dawn. Not a concern of mine, but if you are looking for somewhere to grab a breakfast its a little easier to do that sitting.

I'm sure Admin can get you my email address if you alert one of them.

If you really want to enjoy a potential title decider this is the place to be. Plus its 5 minutes on the train to the heart of Boston.

Can't recall the exact date but they'll go on sale around May 10th. I missed our committee meeting last night as I had to work late, but ill check the minutes and see if that's accurate.

Seeing as its the first game of the tour and so close to the end of the World Cup I can't imagine we will see a lot of first teamers here in Boston
