Biggest cheats of all time?

Just been having an enjoyable discussion with a chap who remembers the Inter Milan side of the mid 1960s getting, to put it politely, the rub of the green.

Apparently some say the referee was bribed, others just inept.

Other will point to a single incident, such as Maradona's infamous Hand of God goal in the 1986 World Cup.

Cheating is quite a strong word, and I wouldn't want to apply it too liberally, but for some Bank Holiday fun, I just wondered which football incidents (or teams in general) stand out to you as representative of a blatant disregard of the rules.

Examples should be recorded....

UEFAlona are the biggest cheats of all time.

Also Mike Riley for his man of the match display for United back in 2004.

Yawn. All the fouls were given, players were booked.
You can call United physical if you like, but the ref had nothing to do with it.

We knew once the run ended that you would moan and groan. We all knew. But there's no actual proof that there was no contact for the pen.

Argentina V Peru in the 78 world cup was widely reported to be fixed at a political level

West Germany V Austria in 82 in Spain was another dodgy one... 1 goal victory to put both teams thru and Algeria out

Maradonna at world cup 94 was a big cheat.

I remember a Chelsea player I think it was Cole just rugby tackled Victor Valdes on a corner, Terry heads it into an empty net, the ref gives the goal, much to Barcelona's disgust.

Unbelievable!

Of course they still talk about baldies performance.

Carvalho.

They would, Baldy was a disgrace. A ***king disgrace.

2002 WC, S.Korea got plenty of homers particularly against Spain. Rivaldo getting a ball kicked at his thigh/shotgun to the face against Turkey.

Pretty much every WC has some big moments of controversy and countries feeling like they were robbed.
