Well the D Day match has arrived, a game we could do with winning but i suppose a draw wouldnt be the end of us in this division.
I am still confident that we can get either a draw or a win from the Reading game next Saturday so as long as we dont lose it shouldnt be so bad.
Someone suggested last week that PD should leave key players out for the Derby match so that we have a strong team available for the Millwall game.
It looks like he was listening because, according to the BBC, Richie Wellens and Lucas Neill look like they should be fit to play.
I hope Brownie is ok too after his hamstring cramp because without him up front the ball will just keep coming back at us.
On the DPL thread, BVZ has said that he would like to see Duffy come in for Sharp and that we play 4-5-1.
How i agree with that.
On paper you could say that 4-5-1 is negative but Copps, Cotts and Duffy are all very capable of creating chances and hopefully Brownie can be a bit more deadly.
We know that Millwall will be really up for the game after their win at Boro and no doubt there will be a big crowd in for what is a defining game for both teams.
Millwall are currently on a five match unbeaten run but we had a similar run recently and all good runs come to an end sometime.
However, they havent won any of their last eight home games so perhaps the pressure from their fans will work in our favour, after all, they will be expecting to easily beat the pub team.
Admittedly, our away record this season is poor but Millwall do have the divisions worst defensive record with 73 goals conceded in their 43 games so far.
PD has said recently that he is happy that we still have our destiny in our own hands and that is a good thing as at the start of the season we were the bookies favourites to go down.
I still firmly believe that if we had been able to have the current crop of players available from the start of the season that we wouldnt be in this position.
The situation in the few weeks leading up to Christmas has us in the relegation dogfight because we just looked like a team waiting to get battered every week with the players who were available for selection.
This game really is a genuine six pointer for whoever wins it because i think it sees them safe but defeat needn't mean certain relegation for the loser because i still think that Blackpool are in a worse situation than any of the rest of the teams down there.
However if you look at the remaining matches for all the teams around us you wouldnt bet on any of them picking up a win, even Birmingham have three very tough games and they are also very much involved in the trouble.
Can i just say at this point that i would welcome yankee back onto the board and hope that he makes his comments on Monday.
Over to you guys now, any comments on the game?

Hound,
Fuz was a one off and I admit I am very concerned about him.
Its nice to have a topic which stimulates debate but the main thing is to provide a meeting place for posters to get behind the team on match day. It doesn't need to be a professional in depth effort. I consider your first effort fulfilled that criteria.

Just for the record. I am not childish, not guilty.

Alex, thanks for the vote of confidence.
My next effort may be spectacular ( but then again, maybe not).

Hound,
Don't burn yourself out doing it.
I like it best when its just a little controversial to stimulate debate.
Fuzzies match threads kept me going for ages even to the point I had to get my boy to explain the statistics to me.
