Is it time for Mourinho to join a big club?

With the news of Moyes' potential departure from Manchester United providing the backdrop for current discussions, it cannot have escaped anyone's notice that Jose Mourinho will be a candidate for the newly-vacated role at Old Trafford.

He was the favourite with some of the fans when Ferguson retired, and Mourinho himself made no secret of the fact that he wanted to manage the best clubs. Does he now have a second bite of the cherry that he craved?

If he wins the CL with Chelsea, I imagine he will leave the club. His return to Chelsea was merely a route back into the English game, and once he's proved his point (by winning the CL which evaded him in his first stint), he'll want to move onto a new project.

The lure of Real Madrid was obviously a strong one, as he wanted to flex his muscles at a big club. Now he has had that experience of managing a big team, and will believe he will be able to transport that experience to a role at another huge club, namely Manchester United

Does the potential position at Manchester United offer Jose the chance of finally managing a big club in this country? Would he want it? Will he be offered it?

Thoughts.

Yes I do. The negative and restrictive football isn't inspiring the players and when we concede the players heads just go down.

Under Fergie the players knew they could come from behind to win games as the manager had instilled a never say die attitude, and the amount of times we came from behind last season is testament to that.

Moyes cannot instil that same attitude at the top level as he's know experience of doing so. He just seems to nice and I don't think the players fear or respect him.

That's unprofessional on their part, but fully understandable as these players are serial winners and are now working under a manager whose methods haven't got any success in the game.
