Moneybags United could 'risk' and attract much higher priced players than Liverpool.

Numerous manager changes and having to / only being able to buy more quantity than quality is the only reason we had similar spend figures.

We didn't buy Ronaldo because it was too risky to spend that much on a youngster and possibly fall out of the top 4 because of it. rio and Rooney were never in reach in a million years because they would never come and even if they would we couldn't afford it.

It's such a stupid argument to claim otherwise for any purpose other than banter.

Champions of england need one player and pay £30mil for 1 player v top 4 hopefuls need 7 players and buy 5 for £30.5 mil. That's the reality.

Win the league, and top players will want to play for us. Hazard joined Chelsea because they won the CL. City probably offered him more money, but they didn't win the big one.

Man Utd always kept their top players when they purchase an additional top player.
We tried to sell Alonso to get Barry.
Man Utd had TREVEZ, ROONEY, BERBATOV and RONALDO.
4 world class strikers yet we still done the double over them.
Its a pity we did not have a stronger squad.

Money bags being in terms of wages. The players coming in couldn't give a shîte about how much is going to their previous club

That has been the case for pretty much all time, with the odd exception, and that will continue to be the case.

You can bet whoever the Real's, Barca's etc are being linked with, we won't be signing.
