If some of the stories now coming out of the club are to be believed, Moyes' direct and unwavering manner didn't go down well with some players. His no nonsense 'style' was said to have polarised man of the senior players. If this is indeed he case, does this still represent a problem for the next manager to come in, as whoever that may be must surely lay down some rules and be in full charge to be able to implement the changes that are a must if we are to move forward and turn this alarm decline.
LVG is said to be a disciplinarian also, how will the players react to his method?
I agree with the Moyes dismissal as I just couldn't see any light at the end of the tunnel with his regime in charge but perhaps the problems extend to the playing staff also and for us to move forward some of the players who seem to have assumed positions of authority, and if stories are to be believed, weren't supportive of Moyes' methods and were dispruptive, need to be shown the door also??
Thoughts?

I haven't heard anything about the players not liking Moyes' disciplinarian style. I thought the issue was more his training methods, tactics etc.

Apparently the fining of Welbeck and Cleverley the other week was one of the things that tipped the players against Moyes.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He was right to fine them !
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Well I don't know wasn't it about 9 days before the next game, seems a bit harsh, depends what Moyes had said to them, maybe it was right maybe it was harsh, apparently Giggs tried to stop him from fining them
----------------------------------------------------------------------
They had all been told no late nights 48 hours prior to and after CL games I read but also the nature of that defeat etc. SAF would have fined them too.
Think Giggs had said that he wouldn't have done that if it were senior players and that's why he tried to stop it.

me neither, which then suggests that the players just didn't 'fancy it' under Moyes for whatever reason. Lets hope that the new manager, whoever that may be, brings with him a history of success which will demand the respect of the players.

Sad as it may be, I think this is closer to the truth. You've got all these mega-successful players being ordered about by a man who has won almost nothing.
Maybe it shouldn't make a difference, but I suspect it did. Surely van Gaal wouldn't have the same problem.

If he had some sort of success whilst being a disciplinarian then players would've accepted it like they did with Fergie (who wasn't exactly a lenient manager was he ). But the fact that there was no signs of Moyes' work paying dividends meant they didn't respect him and as such didn't respect his authority - Hence they rebelled against his disciplinarian approach.
I assume.

People need to stop trying to blame the players for a manager's inability to get them playing for him.
The players would not have said from day 1, you are a plank and we will make sure you get sacked. Something happened that turned them against the manager.

Probably his pandering to Rooney set the others against him....
