The smell of realisation

For all those fools who said that Villa were 'safe'. For all those fools who maintained that Fulham and Sunderland were 'down'.. Wake up! This is the situation:

We are 3 points off relegation.

We are 5 points off ROCK BOTTOM

We officially play the worst football in the league.

We have picked up 1 point in 6 games and have no confidence or momentum at all..

Even Lambert is now admitting that next week's clash with Hull is a 'cup final' and a 'must win' game. That is correct. How did it get to this? For those people saying that we still have away games at Man City and Spurs - forget it. For all the much talked about away form, we have NOT WON AWAY FOR FOUR MONTHS.. Our away form is now dreadful. Indisputable.

Lambert's League One Cloggers somehow have to scrap, hoof, hack and steal a result against Hull next week. Whatever the result, win, lose or draw, the crowd need to let rip at the final whistle and demand change. Really let Lambert know what we think of his team, his tactics and his anti-football style. Then he may have the grace to walk.

We really should be very. very thankful to Steve Bruce's Hull team, for coming back from 2-0 down against Fulham. Without Shane Long's equaliser, it could very well be all over now.

One thing we should also not forget is that the Stripey's have to go to Sunderland. I would not rule out another Baggies surrender to Sunderland, just like their surrender to Wigan last season. They tried to send us down last season but OUR results saved us. This time, we might not have it in us. We have already fluffed SIX chances to secure our safety. Why should we therefore secure it at the seventh attempt?

It's now or never for survival and it's now or never for change.

Getting worse year on year and our luck is due to run out if we carry on like this.

Let's just get behind the team for next weekend

Agreed. Then let rip all hell at the final whistle.

I think it's the simple fact that the players aren't good enough rather than having a totally inept manager. Let's not forget Lambert did a sterling job at Norwich. I do agree that some sort of change needs to happen however, completely blaming Lambert is insane. He has had some of the toughest restrictions imposed upon him by the board in terms of wage bills and let's face it Learner lost interest in the club when the whole MON thing erupted. In my opinion Leaner needs to either plough 10s of millions of pounds for new players and wages in the summer and then lets really see what Lambert can do with actually a decent squad. If Leaner isn't prepared to do that then fair enough but sell the club on. Lamberts hands are completely tied, I even feel abit sorry for the guy.

If anyone sends Aston Villa down, it'll be Aston Villa.
