I was speaking with some mates after the game and we all agreed City are the best team in this league. Yaya Toure yesterday and Silva away are top footballers. Joel Ward is quick but Toure just sprinted past him to score that 2nd goal.
They also have a decent set of fans. The ones we met up in Manchester seemed like proper supporters (couldn't say the same for your neighbours considering most came up on the train from London with us). I know it was mentioned before but the end of year applause for the people connected with the club who have passed away was a nice touch.
So hopefully Palace win against Liverpool - maybe a Steven Gerrard own goal this time? - and Man City keep the teams below us at bay. City win the league and Palace finish a comfortable 9th. Sound reasonable?
Palace could decide who wins the title?

So location is what determines proper supporters. Got it.

I presume the op is saying by proper supporters being local to the team they support and it being a bit more real passion rather than those glory hunters from far and wide who have adopted successful sides as their chosen ones to support but have no tangible connection to that club
How is the Chelsea LA supporters club branch doing for numbers?

Arsenal could actually still have a say in this title race, City still have to to Everton, yet Everton's real motivation (chance of top 4) will be severely crippled if Arsenal beat Newcastle tonight
Newcastle somehow get something tonight and suddenly hve it all to play for

I probably should have been clearer before. The location of the fan doesn't determine who's a "proper" supporter. I was trying to refer to the difference between "supporters" and "fans".
We all know someone who support 2 teams. They have the top 4 team they're a fan of but also like to follow their "local team".
Also the type of fan who goes armed with a camera and has no intention of supporting their team they just want to film someone 5 foot away taking a throw in so they can show their workmates that "they do go to games". They are consumers rather than supporters.
However I would say a "supporter" does just that and supports his/ her team. There's football fans who support their team from the other side of the world who get up at stupid hours to watch their team.

The best foreign glory hunters are the Bosnians on the official Facebook page...They all give Dzeko man of the match every game no matter how bad he's played

Crystal Palace win over Liverpool give Chelsea the title. So be careful what you wish for.

"Crystal Palace win" - I'm happy with that!
