When analysing Ozil he argued with Gary that he doesn't see Ozil really taking the league by storm next year. Gary was right in saying he needs the right players around him. Moist's article below was good in terms of what he needs behind him but infront of him he needs 3 players getting beyond from left right and centre he thrives off fast paced attacking football and Wenger's persistence in tippy-tappy style actually hinders him. Wenger will need to let that go next year I'd love Santi to stay but if we get in a proper wing forward then he may have to be let go. Although if we had a forward with good movement then an injury-free Theo Santi could work on the left like Nasri with Silva
A mobile striker, a left winger and Theo/Ox on the right or even both of them next year will see Mesut flourish. Arsene has backed Mesut for next year which makes me wonder if he has plans to build around him. Jamie wants Mesut to be a 15 goal man and he'd probably tell you Gerrard is a better player knowing him but Ozil is a pass before shoot unselfish type of figure. Always wants to improve the game of the players around him but he needs more movement ahead. That way linking up with a striker well in and around the box will possibly see Ozil bag goals anyway
At Madrid he had Di Maria, Ronaldo & Benzema all looking to break beyond him that's how we get the best out of him

As for comparing Suarez and Ozil, Suarez has operating at the level of Ronaldo and Messi this season. His form has been incredible. 30 goals in 31 games (without penalties) and leading the assist charts and being a general pain in the ar.se for the opposition. He's currently operating at the level of an all-time great. Ozil has struggled and underwhelmed in the same period of time. So currently, they not in the same class.
