One was us finally hitting the big time after 19 years of hurt, the other was getting back there just a few years later.

"Just a few years later", like it was a nothing achievement, whereas the side was depleted and at its lowest. Winning the Champinship after that was an amazing achievement. Every other club finished lower. I don't even know who the play-off winner was, without looking it up. No doubt Cinci thinks that team, whoever it was, was superior. <face-palm-smiley-would-normally-go-here>

The play off winner was Burnley.
Carry on.

Burnley won the play-offs. Us, Blouse and Burnley promoted that season. All clubs began with "B".
Except Wolves.

Hahahahahahahahahaha brilliant DJ, i was waiting and waiting for it to come.
But as ever you ignore the reason behind it, stay classy my friend

Happy to teach you about class anytme cinci. You clearly think its about calling someone a d'ck just because they disagree with you

I think McCarthy's achievements have to be far better than Jones. Jones got promoted via the play offs with a generally old team that needed a massive overhaul as soon as it got to the Premier League. Mick won the Championship in style with a young team that gave us three years at the top level. I know which of those two routes would be more desirable next time

Well said, DJ.

Can't help what?
Do you mean my suggesting that winning the Championship outright with a side built from scratch, is a better achievement that finishing as one of the runners-up?
I believe that's a pretty strong case, and I am perfectly entitled to use it to counter opposing views, on this forum. What's your problem? <fruitbat>

So I would have been far better responding to peoples opinions with a face palm smiley then DJ?
Seems all very mature to me, if that's how you go about discussions then I think being called a d@$k should be expected.
And as before, i never said Jones promotion was better, I ranked the promotions in order of significance to the club, hence turners back to backs first, resurrecting a club, and Jones finally taking us back to the big time.

Resorting to insults again because you have no argument. No wonder no one takes you seriously.

Like when you call me arsie22, Bute?

That's satire, Arsie. Like Private Eye calls Piers Morgan "Piers "Moron".
Anyway, everyone calls you Arsie. Probably a term of endearment.
