fed up of hearing how much he's hoping Alex will move to Arsenal as quickly as possible?
Our club was good enough for Alex before he was famous/tried and tested, but all of a sudden, despite our promotion, his Dad can't wait for him to move on. I'm really, really hoping that NC bins any transfer E-mails this summer like he did at Christmas. I'd really like to see Alex sparkle in the Championship for Saints!
Mark Chamberlain...is anyone else

Is AC really that good? Or will he come to Arsenal and turn into another Walcott?
Maybe its better he stay with you?

He is really that good and can only get better. Theo left too early but the lure of the Prem is hard to resist especially if the Dad wants the move.
Disappointed Alex's Dad doesn't see that a season in the Championship playing rather than on the bench will help Alex more than cashing in so early - not sure what he's afraid might happen really as we look after our kids at Southampton!

Maybe if we buy him and then do the sensible thing and loan him back.
I reckon Wenger pushed Walcott into things too early. He needed a few seasons back on loan to help him develop at a slower pace.

Why would we sell him to loan him back.....might just as well keep him in that case?
Gives the impression that he doesn't really want to be here if he does that, and not sureAdkins has time for that sort of thing.
Only reason for selling and loaning back is immediate money in the accounts, but as far as we know that shouldn't be a problem at Saints

Most Saints fans are realistic and resigned to losing Alex but it would be great if the move is conducted with a bit of class. We as a club have done a great job in developing and protecting him.....

I don't think that is inevitable that Alex will move on in the near future. We are no longer the selling club that we were when Theo and Gareth were sold to appease the shareholders, having said that, if the lad has his heart set on moving then there's not much the club can do about it, although I am confident that NC will get the best possible deal for the club.

he really should look at theo as an example, it really didnt work out so great for a while. but if he wants away im sure don nicola will punt him for the maximum bunce possible. itll be a shame because he is developing nicely, but if he doesnt want to be on the bus then its better to maximise profit. hard way to look at it but its a hard old world.

Maybe dad is worried what Saints might achieve next season with Alex in the side. Here's the news, MC, we'll achieve without him! I'd love to see Alex stay, but we are not a one trick pony and the cash earned from a big transfer will be re-invested wisely.
