Anyone think we'd have any chance of signing him? He wouldn't get into any of the top 4 sides, or even the united side I don't think, leaving Everton, united and us as the only step up. Why would he come? He might realise that Southampton can't offer him European football and may not for the rest of his career, plus if he wants to become an England regular he may feel moving on is his best chance of doing so.
I think he's a very good player, a captain, a great crosser of the ball and he's technically brilliant. He's 25, English (important for our squad), and would probably be available for between £10m and £15m. Whilst that's probably a bit over priced I think it'd be worth it for a very technical 3 of eriksen, Lamela and Lallana behind the striker, preferably ade.
I'd definitely take him if he was available, any thoughts?
Lallana

"hed be on the bench for us"
No, he wouldn't. None of your playmakers - including Coutinho and Henderson - are better than him.

Manfrom, possibly, but it depends on how strong his bond to the club is.
As well as any other offers he gets. I dunno where he'll end up. He'll cost a bomb, that's the problem, and the top teams can get better players from abroad for similar fees.

I think it would be different if he was already at Everton. Not being their player makes it easier to just go wherever he fancies.

Would like him if we could sign him at his value. Great option to have.
He will cost more than he's worth though and it's not a priority area for us.

Not what we need for the money they would want imo, why not save some cash and try and improve what is already here and/or promote some younger players like Pritchard for eg

We turned down signing him for like 2 million a few seasons ago
