Tim Sherwood, over before it started...?

There is still so much media coverage of Sherwood and Spurs and I had a few minutes spare so decided to have a look at the UEFA Pro Licence requirement and why Tim Sherwood should have completed this BEFORE he took on the role at Spurs and why his 18 month tenure was a nonstarter from the very beginning. Basically it is mandatory that all head coaches/managers operating at the highest level in any country either complete it or have completed it within 12 weeks of becoming said manager. The course takes 18 months, no exceptions and all modules have to be taken and attendance at every one is also mandatory.

This isn’t a hack job on Tim but several of the modules really would have benefitted him. Scan down them and they leap off the page. My point is, Tim could not remain as manager even if he wanted to unless he has perfected time travel? I looked hard but couldn’t find a caveat saying you only have to have one person at the club with a PRO licence and it doesn't need to be the 'head' coach?

I guess my point is all this argument around Tim or not Tim is irrelevant according to the rules of the game. Unless he is 3 quarters of the way through the modules (and has obviously missed several) Tim could not be Spurs manager next season full stop.

Spurs have spent a fortune on duds, they players seem to be there for a pay cheque, the fans aren't on his side and in spite of this has had good results.

---

They're not all duds by any stretch, aside from Soldado they all have time on their side and there's plenty of talent there despite what Sherwood says.

Results have papered over poor performances, and results in big games have been poor - we're so easy to figure out with Tim in charge but we've got the squad to get away with it for against average opposition.

We'd be 4th in the table if the season started when Sherwood took over

Champions league with Tim

Aslong as you enroll in a course you can continue as a head coach both in the premier league and that is the same for a seperate licence in european competition.

this is what I have said all along that tim never had any intention to become a manager or a head coach. If he did he would of had the qualifications already. Let alone the fact he works with chris ramsey one of the most respected assesors in the country. Who better to ask for advice?

He has enrolled in courses by the way (which he had to do to continue in the role) and completed a course in march/april.

still say he goes back upstairs come the end of the season.

Yes but we would still have to play Chelsea, Man Utd, Liverpool at WHL and Arsenal, Man City and Everton away if the season had started with Tim.

Judging by the performances against these clubs in second half of season I think you know the rest.

Thanks for that Modric. I spoke to a chum at the Essex FA and he was adamant that enrolment didn't qualify? Said something about you have to have completed the course within 12 weeks (its an 18 month course) of taking over? You also have to have the completed the previous course before starting the PRO licence, you cant just jump straight in. Either was, if he did complete the PRO course he clearly hasn't learned a sodding thing from it.
