After tonights games it appears that our teams just arent good enough to compete with others from outwith the spl. they dont seem to be as fit, strong(mentally and physically) or as organised as the opposition. the other aspect that irks is the fact that scottish refs have constantly got the whistle in their mouths blowing up for any slight misdemeanor whereas the continental refs will allow play when our teams seem to stop... poor times ahead i'm afraid.

Its because there is no money in Scottish money, the funds just are not there to pay massive wages to attract the better players to improve your league. It has IMO gone downhill lately, compared to when yoiu guys had Larssonn and co with you.
Add to that the Scottish weather and I feel the only way to improve is to invest in the young Scottish talent and build for the future, the future being a decade away.

Celtic should have finished better, but we were all over them. Get wee Hoops back and Wilson for the away game and we'll take em.

i watched the second half after the hearts game and the difference was that spurs movement and fitness was apparant for all to see, when they had the ball they went for the killer goal. the half i watched of the celtic game was lots of possesion but very little movement up front lennon would be better playing a winger up front. ala larson?

We were unlucky not to score and I think the team are starting to improve our form. We've had to chop and change because of injury but the players did play well enough to suggest we can win the away game.
Two shots they had against us....And very weak ones at that.
As fur Farts....Ah well, the could ask Spurs for one of their players so they can sell him and buy a new team.
Or I suggest they should write a stern letter to Sky and ask for a bigger slice of the Sky -Pie.

my point exactly, hearts ( i hate to say it) havent got bad players, they just seemed to be blowing from the first minute. mibbee it was nerves...
the disapointing thing is you can go to english games for roughly the same price as the spl.. we are being robbed.

chowder, it shows you just how much TV and sponsorship cash there is in the EPL when the Europa cup is more of an annoyance to them rather than a good money making venture....Like we treat it.
Which actually makes you wonder about what the Everton board are doing with their cash after what the chairman said today...Somebody's on the rob me thinks.

Bang on the money (he he) Bhoyzilla if you pardon the pun.
my point was though that as professionals the players should be prepared to go into the games hard, fast and aggresive not like the extra guy you call at the last minute for fives.
money dosent make great teams, it only creates egos, too many egos and the team is skewered. its a fine balance, that is when a good manger is required.
