New owner rumours.

there are rumours that the 5th richest man in the world a Mr Larry Ellison was at Villa park on Saturday for the Hull game.

Am i the only one thinking this is a good sign as a possible takeover, as what multi billionaire in their right mind would just happen to be passing Aston and just decide to watch this 'classic' prem league encounter.

I live in hope awaiting Randolph's statement.

Please be true.

What would be the true cost of Villa. Learner will want his money back and then there is the increased PL deal to add onto any price he may have wanted?

Im not thinking of Villa becoming the next Man City, far from it. I would just like to see the team compete and maybe have the odd cup run. Rather that than the annual relegation sweat every year.

And you're all missing the real point with FFP. It's only introduced for teams with the biggest turnover to get bigger. They don't want the likes of anyone else being bankrolled to glory.

E.g. It's fine if you already have crippling debts (Man U) but turnover is high. All another big con by UEFA.

FFP Rules are nonsense and will never be implicated to effect anything.

We do need a change of owner or Lerner needs to re-invest reasonably heavily.

Deadwood still needs to go too.

Heard Blouse in discussions with the £1 shop as most of their fans shop there

If you read the FFP it appears that a wealthy owner can still just pay up the shortfall as long as it is in equity. eg. a share issue that they buy themselves. It's all very wierd and confusing and a typical UEFA fudge.

Fack FFP!!!!!

It's a complete joke and so are corrupt UEFA and that sad loony tune Platini.

We could be owned by The Worlds 5th Richest Man in a few weeks!!

He won't care about fines as long as the silverwear comes rolling in.

Welcome to Villa Park Mr Ellison now please hire a half decent manager to spend the 200 million we'll need to grab The Premier League Title thank you!

You get into Europe and cross FFP and you are now fecked.
Man City fined £49m and squad reduced to 21 of which 8 have to be home grown and 4 home trained.

You can't join the big boys party anymore.

Until it is challenged in the European courts as restriction of trade.
