Anyone Warmed To Pulis This Year?

Now this isn't based on last nights DRAMATIC SCENES at Selhurst Park, mind it definitely contributes in a major way and in fact confirmed my newly found admiration for this man

However just what he's achieved this season and for me more importantly the WAY he's achieved what he has. If anyone watched last night live you'd see that once Palace found momentum they started playing some thrilling stuff and some well worked goals too.

The dirtiness and rugby tactics have had to be left behind due to the style of players he inherited and I like Palace now we've seen Puncheon, Chamakh and Bolasie thrive under him and his philosophy has been mixed up.

The way he used to beat us was what annoyed me most but as we saw this season already when we went to Stoke is that they haven't changed anyway while Pulis has.

If the table stays similar to how it currently looks then Pulis easily wins manager of the year for me. Passed a massive test this season, fair play to him

De Boer, Pochettino, Poyet. Failing any of them, maybe Pulis.

Anyone Warmed To Pulis This Year?
-----------------------------------------------------------

As 'groovy' states, TP works with what he has.
He, along with the board, made Stoke a Prem League club, regardless off the 'style' they are still there (yeah the Shawcross incident etc etc).
This time last season we (Palace) were on the back of 9 straight loses and just edged into the Play-Offs. The rest is history.
We were dead certs to go down from the minute we won at Wembley.
We had 4pts from 10 games when Ollie held his hands up, fairplay to the man
Pulis took on 'Mission Impossible' and won. It really is that simple.
He's gelled a poor squad with only 3 quarters of the season left, into a team that gives everything and have finished the season safe ...........................................and with games to spare!
I'm obviously biased, but the achievement the man has made is the biggest in the Prem this season and so he should be honoured with Manager Of The Season imo. Nobody has come close

PS...............and the 'hoofball' is history! Yeah we sit back (doesn't every team when faced against bigger opposition?) but our counter attack is superb given the quality of the players.

All that aside, I'm one very old but happy Eagle

Might be worth seeing the type of players Pullis brings in next transfer window and who he ships out before complimenting him on the Crystal Palace way of playing under Pullis.

There's no getting away from the fantastic job he did this season and he deserves the manager of the season accolade.

But with a transfer budget and time to spend it,you just wonder if he reverts to type and brings in the hoof merchants

He showed the type of players he wanted and got in January bud and not a 'hoof' in sight

He's had a few weeks now to plan for next season as apposed to a 'mad' Jan. Our budget is around £30 inc wages I guess..............so here's hoping for Champ League in 2015/16

Can't say I've warmed to him as a person, but I certainly respect him more as a manager now.

After the great work he's done at Palace since he arrived, I hope he stays there for a few seasons to see what he can achieve, rather than ending up being one of those 'firefighting' managers that get called in every time a chairman needs his club saving from relegation.

Crystal Pulis.

I'm happy we didn't have to play them at home, they will be a hard team to beat at home.

I hope he does get Manger of the season
