I reckon we may have him. The only newspapers I find reliable are the telegraph and guardian when it comes to transfers. If true this is good news and we can push on for modric in the final week.
Ps. The daily fail say we are securing for 29m. Idiots

Did you see the head line for it too. 'Abramovich splashes £29m on Mata AND makes huge new offer for Modric' just makes my blood boil when they try and make it an 'Abramovich signing'

Whenever Guardian has reported something it has happened following day.

Villas-Boas stressed that he made the technical decisions at Chelsea but, when it was put to him that he wanted the player, he replied: “It doesn’t depend on me. It’s not my money.”

Again I would prefer Hazard...but if this is true he will probably be our player by the end of the window

Both are as good as each other and have there advantages. I would go for mata purely because of experience at a harder level

Hazard would be worth the extra 5 million, he's already better than Mata and while Mata will go on to be very good if HAzard reaches his potential he'll truly be great

I have to agree with blue kenyan, Hazard is the better player, and id rather we signed him but mata is an improvement on Malouda and Kalou and i can see him having a good understanding with Torres on the pitch, hopefully we get hazard as well to play on the right.

Only one for me. Sturridge to be given a chance on the right. If both come I'd see something more like:
-Ramires-Mikel-
Sturridge-Mata-Hazard
Torres
Which would be fantastic! Won't happen though
