Tonight's game was an effort, villa had a six men defence at times and then a bank of four in front. That first goal just opened the floodgates.
It's been an odd season as, because we had runs in both the domestic cups, we've floated under the radar for most of it with games in hand. To be honest, top three and a domestic cup was my expectations, so I'm more than happy with Pellegrini. Some of the football has been sublime at times.
You never know with Allardyce teams or with us, so I'm not tempting fate at all!

First time this season Pellegrini is saying he's confident of winning the title, good that he's kept the pressure off his squad for a long period.

Best team's won it, fair play. Suarez and Gerrard dont win the title, which is nice, and we've had a little reality check which should make us appreciate any success we get in the future a bit more. One of the more interesting seasons all in all.

I said City would win it before a ball was kicked. Mourinho then had me doubting it a little, but the cream rises to the top eventually as they say.
Nobody can deny City don't have the best squad on paper. They had the best squad last season too but the harmony wasn't there.
Then again having bottomless pits of money and no fears of running up £70m annual losses kinda helped..........until now

Does the £50m fine come off their qualifying income next year? In a few years time they'll be being fined £250m a season and be limited to a ten man squad in the champions league.
They still won't be bothered.

With the Uefa thing, I'm hoping we fight them to be honest, even if it risks exclusion from the CL.
