Tim Sherwood is like a bad surgeon. While most operate with care and precision, he's the one that storms in with a rusty scalpel and a pair of wonky eyes. Not long after alienating Soldado, Townsend, Paulinho, Vertonghen and a few others, up steps Sandro to show his discontent. He wants out, which is not surprising given he's been dropped, publicly humiliated and as a result, not made the Brazil cut. For me he's not been playing that badly. He needed games after the injury but no, Tim doesn't like defensive midfielders, preferring to ship 5 goals a game and criticise his forward players for not having the guts to track back and cover where a defensive midfielder should be. He's always been an interim manager but he seems to have this billy big bøllocks attitude about him without any of the substance. You can't go in somewhere with a wrecking ball and not expect any damage. The truth is that Tim Sherwood is more concerned with his own image rather than the clubs'. That's why he criticises the players regularly. It's not about getting more out of them, it's about passing the buck. The moment a manager becomes insular and only concerns himself with his own legacy, he's no longer a manager. He lost control months ago. He may be likeable to a few of the regular first teamers, but handling a squad full of foreign internationals? No chance. I'm amazed so many fans like the side of him that criticises the players, I'd like to agree but it does nothing but further destroy the players' confidence. I'm extremely cynical about his reasons for criticising. He's only concerned about himself. End of story.
Are we a more together squad than under AVB? Not a chance.
Are we any better? Nope.
He should never have been given the job in the first place.
Sandro's comments...
“He (Sherwood) will leave at the end of the season. Then, new coach, new everything."
“I do not know anything yet, but I’m happy to have my name talked about with a club the size of Sao Paulo. Anyway, it would be very difficult to leave on loan from here.
“If I was to leave, it would have to be permanently and it is not close. Other teams have come, however, with little money. President (Daniel Levy) negotiates every transfer, this was the case for [Gareth] Bale had the case, it is not easy."

How is it humiliating to drop a player? If this is the case then every manager, of every club, in every league, humiliates their players every single week.
Sandro wasnt playing well. So another player took his place. Pretty standard stuff really. If a player cannot accept that they may not play when their form drops, then regardless of whether they are a fan favourite, they are not the type of player we want.
I find his managemnt quite refreshing. No being bullied by the senior players in the dressing room, no holding back or giving mixed messages, i prefer a manager to tell it how it is, call a spade a spade, everyone man-up and just get on with it.
His position was put into question win, lose, draw, good performance, poor performance or other, and that is what is so bad about this whole affair.
If Tim couldnt speak any English and had a foriegn league title to his managerial name, his performance since taking over would be shouted from the roof tops.
We (will likely) finish above Man Utd for the first time in how God knows long, and i recall how much AVB was applauded for simply beating them, yet all Tim gets is all this negative shít.
Regressing with a foriegn manager was acceptable, then we progress with an English one and we want him out.
I just dont get it....

chicken. do you want Sherwood to stay on as manager?

Yes because he's the reason we finished higher than Manchester United this season. Tim Sherwood is. Nothing to do with what happened there. No way. Further proof of our progress under Tim

Can you explain where this progression has taken place? From where I'm standing, there hasn't been any. In fact we've dropped a place and have a large number of unhappy players. We've been heading downhill since Harry left but that's another argument. Tim talks about the club 'dreaming' about trying to get into the CL but that's just him saving face, deflecting criticism and passing the buck. With some half decent defending we could have been on the same points as Arsenal this year. We aren't playing spectacular football, still not scoring many and have regressed defensively. We have no structure. Take Brendan Rogers at Liverpool. He dumped Andy Carroll despite his price tag because he didn't fit into his philosophy. Does Tim have a philosophy? I don't think he does. He's a young manager with a dinosaur mentality. Now you could say give him time but how long do you give a manager than has had half a season, and achieved nothing but turn a squad off the club. I'm amazed anyone wants to give him a go.

chickens logic (word logic used loosely there), is far fetched straw clutching at best.
the fact is that we are further from our target (top 4) now, than we were when Sherwood had the job.
simple
Sherwood has taken has backwards and has faaacked off all the important members of the squad in the process.

I do not have a problem with Sherwood dropping an out of form Sandro, but playing Siggurrdsson in CM ahead of Sandro tells you everything you need to know about Tim`s competence.
Even a half functioning Sandro would be more appropriate than Siggy in CM away at Klanfield and Wet Spam

I’m not against it. I’d personally like to see what he can achieve with a few additions of his own and with this experience behind him.

As I have said on another article:
I think you’re confusing our progression from a club point of view compared to since the change of manager. Of course the club has regressed from finishing 5th last season (just like we regressed from 4th to 5th in the season before – under AVB) but from Tim’s perspective, he has taken “the club” from 8th to a higher position, so he has in fact progressed us since taking charge. I agree that the overall club position is lower – but the first half(ish) of the season, I’m sure you’ll agree, was out of Tim’s hands....
