Remembering the 56

11th May 1985 was the date of the fire at the Bradford Valley Parade ground. A shocking event and terrible scenes that will live in the memory forever.

Hopefully the steps taken will make sure nothing happens like this again and my heart goes out to the families and friends of the victims today.

Seems to be generally forgotten after Heysel and Hillsburgh but it's etched in my mind, the image of the stand in flames and the people fleeing from it...

Horrifying the speed with which it took hold and engulfed the stadium.

It was horrific. My heart goes out, not just to those that dies but to the many others that survived but were very badly burned.
